When transient pressure readings are captured or a fluctuating reading is smoothed out, the min/max/avg feature makes sense. It is possible to illuminate the display, which is useful when displaying plants that are usually dirty, dingy, or dark. A normal 9 volt battery usually lasts a long time. I use rechargeable batteries in my boxes and get weeks of use out of them. A power-up switch automatically turns it on The manometer has an on/off switch that can be defeated if you want it on all the time. The 120v power supply can't pull the power from the battery, so you can use it if the battery runs out. When I packed my luggage, the screen was cracked. They are put to the test every day, so I continue to buy them.

In terms of this product, and perhaps this has to do with its application, here's what I think. Using this thing as a Manometer is a great experience. TSI output of $5,000 matches this reading to within 1% of the reading. In our application, at least, the pitot tube isn't a good tool. Both types of hotwire are repeatable, but the pitot readings jump around like crazy when measuring a centrifugal fan's output This guy is okay for what I want to do and I do not regret buying it. I wish I had not had to make sure I had a hotwire anemometer handy as well.

A large part of my job is maintaining industrial burners. I service equipment for customers around the world, and they pay good money to take me there. The manometers by Extech I use most often are part of this series. The recorder, the maximum, and the average features are very useful, and the measurement stays accurate. If I had one criticism, it would be that the light is too easy to turn on. It is important for me to remove the batteries from my bag or shipping box so that they are not accidentally turned on. After a few minutes, the devices turn themselves off by themselves however, I have seen them drain the batteries during transport.

My use of it has been for static pressure testing on HVAC equipment and leak testing on natural gas and propane case is made out of plastic, and could be made a bit more robust. There ought to be more refinement in the battery cover in particular as mine tends to come out of place. It is important to note that I have not tested the software or USB This feature is not helpful to me. On the other hand, the recording feature is quite useful This update is for you. The temperature range is not wide enough, which is the most serious issue with the meter. I have owned it for about 2 years, and it is over all a good meter, but with a few serious issues. The display screen goes out if you leave it in your vehicle in below-freezing weather. The second complaint I have is that the case has cracked in the upper right corner by where the screen is. There is now a new feature on the screen that only works if I squeeze it I am in the market for a new manometer, so I am unlikely to purchase this one again anytime soon. There's just no way that it's rugged enough for my needs.

This is excellent. While on a job site where I was on ladders, on roofs, and in a man lift, I used this to measure flow. As well as the liquid manometer, I also had a solid manometer with me, but it would not have been capable of being used in A conventional manometer and the Nitto e-Manometer were compared side by side and both were exactly the same. To make it even easier to use, this tool has a magnetic strap so it can be attached securely to a metal surface.

Despite the fact that the meter works great, the data logging software has the problem of the time stamp getting out of whack when you record for a long time. The Microsoft Surface Book and Windows 10 are used for running applications. Apart from that, I have only used it as differential pressure and single The recording setup took a little longer than expected (minor), but this is a typical case of someone who doesn't read directions until everything.

Static pressure is checked on most service calls by using this instrument. Battery life is good, and I use a rechargeable battery to cut down on battery costs. A flexible tube and some small nylon tubes with an angle cut at one end are attached so the nylon tubes can be jammed into the duct and measurements can be made. A nice hard case that I can keep in the van without worrying that it will get damaged.
