Anemometer with vane probe and telescoping hot-wire probe measures air velocity in m/s, fpm, knots, miles per hour, and kilometers per hour, as well as air temperature in degrees C and F.

Minimum, maximum, and average readings are all recorded and remembered.

To help with documentation, the data hold function freezes a reading on the display.

The output of the RS-232 serial port interface allows for connection to a compatible PC for data storage.

The air velocity and temperature readings are displayed on the LCD at the same time.

Questions & Answers

Is the flexible cable only for the vane probe, or does it also connect the hot wire probe to the display unit?

There is a cable for each device. The display unit is the only connection point that can be removed. The probe acts as an antenna. It starts at about 10 a.m. and goes on for about ten minutes. 5" to 3' in length. There is less cable exposed as the probe is extended because the cable is connected to the tip inside the probe. When the probe is collapsed, it has a volume of about 3. There is a total of 5' of cable that is visible. Only about 12" of cable remains when the probe is fully extended.
