I'll admit that the first time I used this field piece tool, I was a little confused, but once I figured out how to measure cfm, I was blown away by how accurate and simple it was to use! br>Was well worth the money I spent! br>I wish I'd been aware of this tool earlier.
Technology that is truly amazing. This is a must-have for any HVAC technician. Just tell it the duct size and it takes care of the rest; it's not as precise as a flow hood, but it's a lot more convenient. It is probably accurate enough to be 90% within range at this point.

I'm a do-it-yourselfer who's assessing and repairing ductwork in a newer home. Unfortunately, you can't rely on ostensibly reputable HVAC contractors to complete the job correctly. Instead of relying on a mix of guesswork and rule of thumb, contractors should use a duct calculator to calculate load and CFM requirements. I am very pleased with the Fieldpiece because it appears to be a well-made meter. The shipping was prompt, and the package was well-protected.
