There is the option to purchase extra vanes. There is a part number A- for these There are two spare vaneometer vanes included with the vaneometer for $390. You can purchase them directly from Dwyer, but you may be able to get them from other vendors as well. A cost of around $12 is involved.
It has always worked for me, and I never have a problem with the vane falling out.

My purchase was for an open box/used one that was said to be Mounting hardware and directions are included, as well as a mounting plate, 2 vanes (an installed vane and a spare vane) and mounting hardware. This is a really cool little tool. I needed it and couldn't wait to get it as I am I was disappointed to find that both vanes had been damaged in the one I received, which was not in the descriptions. So I will have to order more until I can use it. The following is the part number for the vane, in case you need it In 69 The 100050-series There is nothing special about the vane itself. It is just a piece of what looks like thin mylar pinning through its center. I thought at first they were metal since I'd never been up close to one. It is unavoidable that they have to be replaced as soon as they bend or crease, as you can see from the ones I received. There does not appear to be any way of fixing them. It will certainly help me tune my diy spray booth, though this is a major inconvenience for me. Be sure to keep it tuned. br>Thanks to the seller for being silent about the damaged item. My purpose for getting the vaneometer was to measure air flow from my operating room into the adjacent hallway so I could report it to Medicare. Using it is a breeze. A simple device that is affordable and easy to operate What we needed was exactly what we got.
Two of the items I purchased will be returned. My call to the manufacturer was transferred to their technical support, but they did not have the item on hand and were unable to understand what I was trying to describe.
I was surprised by how fast it was delivered. The program sounds interesting. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

We use it to show off our negative pressure isolation chambers visually. A negative pressure room is a great way to introduce new employees to this type of environment. We have had great results with it and it also helps us verify our rooms are functioning as intended.
It really is a very simple vaneometer, but it does what it has to do. More complicated things are not necessary.
