Three is the number on the plate. Hook extends a total of 4 inches out from the hook, which is 5 inches long by 1 inch wide.
Surely one of the two hooks or the three hooks will fit all of the grid walls since they all have the same size square on them. Due to their length, I bought the 2" hooks as it matched the length of the items

They fit both on the bars as well as at the intersections, are very durable and well made. In reality, I only need about 30, but I got them for a better price. It will be a huge upgrade over what I have here now!.
It works fine on a White shelving from Home Depot can be used as well. The zip tie I used was just to hold it.

For our counter behind the counter, we purchased these hooks for hanging our merchandise. It has been no problem for them to remain in place.
