Neither I nor my husband know exactly how many pounds they are, but we use them for grocery shopping every week. There have been no issues when I own one that has two half gallon milk containers in it along with one or two other items. My goal is to increase my conservation by using the same bag twice or more. They can also be used for small garbage, such as in the bathroom. This is a company I recommend.

Bags that can be bought for a good price. Bags that are heavy were not what I expected. Basically, I just wanted to have handy the same bags Connecticut just banned in their grocery stores recently. In place of these, they have substituted substandard plastic bags under the "reusable" banner. One of my first ones tore the first time I used it. This is absurd. It is time for these grocery chains and the government to take an in-depth look at all of the plastic covered food and produce in their stores. The company should replace the plastic "long-lasting" bags with more long lasting plastic bags before they decide to eliminate I am dumb. Since I used mine to pick up garbage and for work lunches, I was able to avoid buying the heavy It's so sad.
These bags are the third time I have ordered them. The bags are of excellent quality and last far longer than plastic grocery bags. When older people are unable to go out to shop, I help them shop for food. However, in our state they stopped giving plastic bags to the grocery stores. The kitchen garbage can was lined with every single one of them without a hole in it. This bag appeals to me, so I am going to try it. About five months ago, I bought these bags and they are the best bags I have ever had. There will be NO holes, they'll be strong as hell, fill 'em up, and you won't fail. Other than that, I don't know what else to say. You don't have to take measurements from me. It is easy to place an order and it is delivered quickly. Because of the plastic bags not being as thick as I had hoped, it's not the company's responsibility that I am dissatisfied with the product.
