The product shipped folded, but I do not remember it harming it in any way, and after a day there were no visible creases.
The 1/25 inch rubber material only comes in 12 by 12 inch sheets, but I still have a sheet of 1/16 inch thick rubber silicone sheet (Duro Shore A60/65) that I bought at Amazon that is 12 by 12 inches. I was able to open a small jar with good grip on the surface, which is smooth, but did not slip on the lid of the jar. It should also work just fine with the thin 1/25-inch thick sheet. I hope you find that helpful.

A model of my boat's shower drain pump that I tried to fix. The Jabsco 37202-F is in this picture I bought a boat pump in 2012 for $400 (yes. You're reading the marine pricing section! As soon as I took it apart, I noticed the rubber diaphragm had cracks. $110 was the price of a diaphragm replacement from the marine store. A cripe is simply a 3" circle of rubber pierced in the center by a hole. Since I had nothing to lose, I decided to give it a try. Initially, I tried using 1/16" rubber, but the thickness proved too much. As a result, I bought 1/25" (1mm) thick rubber sheet, traced the old diaphragm on it, and then cut it out. Then add it to the pump, then re-pressurize it I have enough rubber left to make another eight spares! Now I need only to assemble! Invest $8 in a great project! It was smooth on both surfaces, consistent, and very flexible, as far as the raw rubber sheet was concerned.
NO, it is not one millimetre thick, but a fraction of an inch thick. This is "05" Nearly one sixteenth of an inch. IMPORTANT NOTE There is a label that says "Silicone Grade," but it probably is The Buna-es might be somewhere around here.
It was easy to cut a ring from this so I could use it as a gasket for my coffee maker. It fits a bit tight, but the material compresses, so it shouldn't be a problem. Despite the cellophane still on it, it measured 48 mils thick.
Towards the end of a project (a prototype), I needed a small piece of rubber for I absolutely love this source, it has protective backing and is packaged in a bag. The source of this information is to be thanked! I purchased an additional thickness for the second time.
