Questions & Answers
There is only one sheet here. I'm not sure about the double-sided question, but if that's what you're asking, both sides have the same smooth surface.
As stated in the listing's description. A laser, tablesaw, jigsaw, drill, router, or bandsaw can all be used to make cuts. I'm sure these aren't the only tools available to you. It'll most likely be cut with a much simpler tool. Other users might be able to contribute to the tools that they use.
The edges (sides) are nicely finished, but there is a hard "edge" where they meet the top and bottom surfaces, if that's what you mean. There are no rounded edges or corners. br>br>However, keep in mind that acrylic is not scratch-resistant. If you're worried about scratches, tempered glass is a better option.

br>The sheet was in excellent condition when it arrived. bubble-wrapped inside a form-fitting box It was a snug fit inside a larger Amazon box that also contained some Forstner drill bits I needed for this project, and it was 1/16th of an inch under 12 inches on both sides. I'm assuming that the original large sheet is precisely 12 inches long, and that the cutting blade running along that line is 1/8" wide. As a result, 1/16th of an inch per cut sheet was lost. For my project, this isn't an issue, but it would be if someone needed a precise 12" square. br>The brown paper protection was perfect for marking out the sheet, and it was left in place until all of the cutting, sanding, and drilling was finished. Without the paper fraying or coming loose, I was able to power sand the acrylic up to the lines on the paper. br>With my table saw (40 TPI) and jigsaw, I was able to cut the acrylic cleanly. It was in the middle of the room that I noticed it. Without cracking or melting, I punched and drilled cleanly on my drill press (1700rpm). br>To sum up, I have no reservations in recommending this product.
I'm a photographer who specializes in still life and product photography. I purchased the 12x12 clear acrylic so that I could place it on top of any color base paper to catch the reflections of specific images, and it works perfectly. If you have similar or identical needs, this book is a must-read.
This 1/4" plexiglass was purchased with the intention of making router base plates for woodworking projects. So far, I've completed the first base plate, and I'm very happy with the plexiglass's quality. I needed the paper-covered type for a layout, and it worked perfectly and peeled off with ease. It was a wise decision.
Cut a 11. In my case, I used a 5" square and inserted a 12" piece inside; now all I need is some lighting. legit af. Because custom cases are so expensive, this was ideal.
On both sides of the plexiglass, there is a protective paper covering. br>br>I made a three-leaf clover quilting ruler template out of this plexiglass. A scroll saw was used to cut the plexiglass, and Dremel sanding and polishing disks were used to sand the edges. br>br>This item was very reasonably priced.
I received a solid black package from them. I made the mistake of assuming the color shipped was correct, and I didn't remove the protective paper until after I had sawed the plastic to the desired size, at which point it was too late to return it. Now I'm in a "see-saw" situation. I need a "see-through" guard for my router because I can't see through it. br>br>The material is strong and durable, and when cut with a table saw, it didn't chip. If the color and transparency were correct, I'd give it five stars.
I was able to engrave directly through the backing, which served as a mask for spray painting the color fill. The backing is paper with a plastic back, so it would have to be removed to laser it, but I wanted the image to be etched deeply into the plastic, which I've always had better luck with on the rotary. I'm sure it'd look fantastic engraved with a laser as well.
The package was well-packaged and arrived on time. I enjoyed the first one so much that I ordered another. It served as the top plate for a router table I built myself. Five out of five stars!.
