While these sheets are rigid enough to be upright but flexible enough to be able to break, they are shatterproof because of their flexibility. Horizontal holding of the 24" long sheet will cause the other end to bend a few inches, but upright holding won't cause it to bend.
Yes, I am. If this product could be used for this application, then it would be great. Since polycarbonate (lexan) is shatterproof, it provides an added level of security. Acrylic (plexiglass) is not shatterproof therefore, it does not offer the same kind of Besides being easy to cut, it can be easily bent to fit your needs.
It may not stick as well as resin, but I haven't tried it yet. It is very difficult for me to remove adhesive from my clothes that sticks
It is an eighth of an inch thick material that is somewhat flexible, so I am forced to say No... Now with that being said, there are a multitude of variables to consider ( shelf braces, weight of items, etc) so as to be able to answer this question more precisely. It would be possible to make shelves from 1/4 inch thick Plexiglass or something similar, but again you would have to take into account bracing and weight of items as well as shelf length. I apologize for the length of my answer and hope that this was helpful. This is helpful.

I took exact measurements of 11 and 7/8" x 23 and 7/8" on the acrylic, but I are not sure how accurate they were.
One of the walls of my chicken coop is made of solid wood where morning sun cannot reach it. So that the girls know it's morning, yet it remains safe so that predators can't get in, this is perfect. I am very satisfied with the results.
Even though the plastic sheet is very clear and seems durable, it is SHORT in both width and length by 1/8 of an inch. There is no poly plastic exactly 12 x 24 inches here, so if you need that, you will not be able to find that. Thanks to my cleverness, I will be able to use it as a stiffener in the back of a bow saw case As a result of doubling the material, I will glue the long sides and bottom of the sleeve so that it can be used to store extra saw blades in a separate pocket behind the pocket where the saw is stored. As far as I can tell, this is a nice piece of material, but it was off spec, so it loses 1 star.
If not heated, it bends to about a 6-inch diameter The radius will be 8" and it will return to its original state. Although I scored deep and snapped, you need to score very deeply to be successful. This product pairs beautifully with quality aviation products As with sheet metal, be careful with snips (wear gloves or use gloves if you aren't familiar with them). It is possible to grind 5") with Forstner bits, but keeping your speed low is crucial to avoid melting I also used a drill press for this project If you use a pistol drill for drilling anything of any material, try not to use Fostner bits.
As far as what I purchased it for is concerned, it worked just fine. Although I had my doubts about being able to bend it without the brake, I decided to take the chance anyway. Because it will only be used as a protection for a loft edge, I did not require it to look professional. As it was clamped to the edge of my work bench, I heated it with a heat gun to bend it. Although it took almost 15 minutes to heat it, I managed to bend it at a good 90 degree angle after going along the top and bottom of it. Due to the protective film they are covered in, the sheets were in perfect condition upon arrival. The film was removed before the heater was turned on.
In lure building, I used this to get a better grip on the fish. Only one lure bib has been cut, and it snapped minutes after being used. There was a rock in my path. Still, I think this shouldn't be scraped off so easily. That way, I can fix it so long as I discover what went wrong. I can only give an answer to one. The next one I send back will be if this one breaks.
I found this polycarbonate glass to be the best deal. It has the same look and functions as plexi glass and was quite a bit cheaper than the stuff I had seen in stores. I was looking for lexan or plexi glass and this stuff met my needs and looked and worked the same as it would. The sheets came in three sheets which I found to be very helpful for my project. The sheets are clear and pretty. The packaging is good and the quality is good. When the installation was completed, the glass was kept clean with protective film. Moreover, they provide instructions on how to trim the product and work with it.
In order to replace some worn out panels on the porch lights, I used it. Using a box knife, you can find a way to cut it to your liking.
