I have a clear product, not a red one. However, I am extremely pleased with the finished product. It's simple to set up and use, and it covers the entire vehicle. To keep it in place, I use spring-loaded clothes pins on both ends. It's a very low-cost way to keep your car clean while it's parked in the garage.
An adult slip and slide is something I've never heard of. However, this is a very thin material. It's what I use to protect my collector car, which doesn't have a car cover. When I get in the car, I simply toss it out. With or without lubrication, I don't think there will be much adult fun.
The thickness of the plastic sheet is not stated on the box. 1 mil according to my thickness gauge. This is about a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of Paint overspray is prevented from "peeling" or "flaking" off the plastic by a 3M applied coating on one side of the sheeting. When spraying paint, this is an excellent feature. For the same reason, I cover my portable spray paint booth with this material. The sheeting's coating prevents static or cling, which is useful when opening and installing it on a spray paint booth or a car to be painted.
Almost anything can be used to make stencils. However, this is a bad idea; instead, go to a sign supply store, where they sell a variety of materials for most stencil applications, including water and oil-based paints. Spray or roller are both options.

This is what you'll need if you're going to spray paint. This side up is indicated on the film, which is useful. While I was painting my car, it worked extremely well. Before moving on to the next step, the PPG primer, sealer, base, and clear all seemed to adhere well to the film and provided a good indication of the flash time status. When I masking my car three times, I only used about a third of the roll. For a slight stretch, it appears to have adequate tensile strength. The film continues to tear easily after it has been punctured. It also works well with 3M masking tape.
It covers well and includes all of the extras, such as a nice static cling and a large size that allows it to cover the entire van from top to bottom! I'll gladly buy from you again! It comes highly recommended! It's impossible to go wrong with 3M!.
I really enjoy it. When storing the boat in the pole barn, use it to cover it to keep the dust off. When I know I won't be driving for a while, I cover my truck with static cling, which keeps it in place while being soft enough not to scratch painted surfaces. The roll was fine, but the box was ripped when I got it.
WARNING: DO NOT MASK IN THE WIND. This is an excellent plastic. It's easy to tell which side is the painting side, and I was surprised at how easily it could be moved even after using high-quality tape. However, as previously stated, doing this in the wind is more of a comedy act; my son and I battled the wind while applying his bedliner outside, but we got it done with no bleed through.
It performed exactly as expected. With just one sheet, I was able to cover the entire front and back of my truck. I will purchase this product again because it caught all of the overspray.
This is the second time I've purchased this film, and it's fantastic. I did purchase a roll of pink from another vendor, but I despised it because it was extremely thin and easily ripped. I returned to this 3m offer.
It's very thin, making it easy to handle when covering entire vehicles or just sections before applying any coating, but it's strong enough to prevent tearing. A sharp razor blade or xacto knife can also be used to cut out areas around repairs; just make sure you use the correct side up when masking anything, as only one side is treated for the paint to adhere. If you spray multiple coats and it gets turned upside down, paint flakes will fly off. Overall, I couldn't have asked for anything more from a piece of plastic sheeting.
When painting sections of a car, this is the best material to use. Overspray does not flake off onto your new paint and sticks to the car without causing damage.
