Lead shot does come from virgin material. The 25 pound bag is straight from the manufacturer. The perfect way to reload.
These lead shot balls have a diameter of 0.0, and you want to know if they are actually 0.0. There is a tube with a diameter of 0 that fits into a tube with a diameter of 094". You will have no problem fitting them if you are 177".
They might work for shot shells, but I haven't used them for that. The little units seem to work, even though they are so small.

In my fishing lure-making apparatus, I use this to make lead dispensing pots. Upon inspection, it appears to be clean and of good quality. It is possible that some residue is floating to the top, but I doubt it will pose a problem when I go to test it it may not even matter. Package your products! There have been some reviews that mention this. After receiving it, I found the bag held together by the shot was split and the shot was loose. Fortunately it wasn't a major issue, as I poured it into a container, but a thin, minimal piece of plastic for such a heavy water object is just plain odd.
