I don't think they'll sell it with a bend in it because it's flat stock, and any bending would be the responsibility of the customer.

This is my use for a 1/4-inch-thick aluminum plate measuring 12 X 12 inches. Baking artisan bread is a new hobby for me. Unlike ordinary sandwich breads, artisan loaves are fermented for several hours using wild yeasts and bacteria found in nature. These aren't as quick as the active dry yeast found in grocery store foil packets. When heated with a low-wattage electric device, this thick aluminum plate acts as a thermal mass, helping to maintain a consistent temperature inside my dough proofing container for an extended period of time.
This appears to be high-quality aluminum, and the condition appears to be in good working order. The cut dimensions were accurate and perfectly flat, with no signs of warping. The quality is excellent, and 6061-T6 is unquestionably the best option. T651 - Aluminum is extremely tough, but because it is extruded, it retains some ductility. It was used to repair a broken trolling motor mount and proved to be quite durable. The repaired section is stronger and more flexible than the original (cast aluminum) version. When cutting and milling, it appeared to be almost as tough as mild steel.
Quality was excellent, and shipping was prompt; the alternative was slightly thicker, but this does the same thing when frozen. Great seller; I was informed that the item might have scratches, marks, or other flaws, and it was a 9. 5 of 10. I'm in a good mood right now! Thank you. br>br>.
This is a good value for 6061 aluminum 12x12 square and comes in a sturdy box if you need it. Machines perform admirably. br>The price is reasonable.
Because the plates have been sheared, expect a minor bow in the plate as well as pressed edges along the shear cut; however, this is how my delivered product looked. I had intended to mill this into a few supports for my gantry, but I think it'll end up in the trash until I can replace the magazine that keeps my table level.
It's exactly what I expected, though I wish the razor-sharp edges had been dulled. Mine, like the others, had deep scratches on it.
Well, it's an aluminum sheet, and I'm only using it to make a new band saw working table, so it'll suffice. I was surprised at how scratched up the plate was when it arrived, but who cares? I'll be sliding metal across it, so it'll get scratched anyway, but if appearance is important to your project, consider polishing it with a jeweller's wheel or another method.
