Questions & Answers
The number 3003 was assigned to my order.
125 is equal to 1/8 inch or 2/16 inch.
Although I do not have a brake, the plate is 1/8 inch thick and quite sturdy. Without a strong brake, I wouldn't attempt it. However, it's a nice bit of aluminum.
I'd describe it as rigid. Strong and durable. Keep that in mind. The thickness of a 125 size is 1/8 inch.

This isn't a polished aluminum grade. It's a large sheet of raw metal that has been cut into smaller pieces. Any scratches are to be expected with this type of metal, regardless of where it is purchased. It will look similar if you go to your local metal supply house and request the same grade of aluminum in the same size. If you want a specific type of polished surface finish, this isn't it, and you'll have to pay a lot more. Alternatively, you can purchase a buffer and polish the item yourself. If you're looking for raw 0, br>br>you've come to the right place. This is the 125 3003 Aluminum stock, cut into a 12x12 square. It was exactly as described.
Rose Metal Products has terrible customer service and refused to fix a piece that was cut shorter than 12 inches when I received it. If you buy this, keep in mind that getting a clean piece is a gamble, as mine arrived with deep deep scratches on every inch of the sheet and was well under 12 x 12 inches in both directions. I sent them a number of messages before deciding that it was no longer worth my time after three weeks. They'd rather make $15 on a $15 profit than fix a manufacturing problem that was clearly their fault!!.
It isn't polished in any way. It has a substantial thickness to it. I use aluminum for a lot of my projects because it's light, strong, easy to work with, and doesn't look as amateurish as plastic or wood. I use for the majority of my projects. If I need something that spans a larger area, I use 1/8ths thickness instead of 100 (street sign gauge). br>br>The aluminum is shipped with a protective layer on both sides and appears to be suitable for my purposes. This isn't the kind of paper thin junk you'd find in a home improvement store. However, don't expect perfection; if you do, you'll pay more, and you might as well buy stainless steel instead of aluminum. Good luck with the stainless steel cutting.
Sheet: 125 3003 H14 Aluminum 12x12" The sheet was ideal for this project because it was easy to cut and rigid. Because the battery is only 9 pounds, the 1/8" sheet was ideal. This picture was taken before finishing, so you can see the raw aluminum.
It Was Scratched When It Arrived! Although it appears to be a good product, it arrived with large groves and scratches. Very let down.
This is what I use to make little brackets and other things for my cars. It cuts easily on a bandsaw and is easily drilled, among other things. Purchasing here is significantly less expensive than purchasing at a local big box store.
I'm looking for a scrap of aluminum to modify my bike rack. It was large enough for me to divide it into two sections to finish my medications. br>NEW Aluminum without a finish.
