was able to get a really straight cut this way Blue painters' masking tape is used to mask off the working area. Two pipe clamps or shaft collars should be used as guides in order to position them along the tube to be cut (they will serve as guides for using Divide the 2 clamps by the thickness of the hacksaw blade, but make sure the distance is just larger enough so the hacksaw can slip easily between them. Prepare the area by wetting it and cutting it. When cutting the tube, it is recommended that you rotate it. I hope this is understandable, but if not, similar techniques are described on the web
A lack of flexibility is almost unheard of. Tube that is very rigid.

The size is 86 mm and the diameter is 10 mm The 8mm disk is slightly bowed and 16mm in diameter. My goal was to build a Fast Electric RC boat (90+mph) to support my sponsons on a 40" Fiberglass outrigger with these tubes. It took me a second to notice how nice the carbon fiber pattern looked once I pulled them out of the box. When traveling at high speed, stability and rigidity are of the utmost importance in order to keep the sponson center lines parallel with the main hull and in alignment with the horizontal alignment of the hull and the water. It's because of the durability of carbon fiber that I chose these Therefore, as my hull is almost complete, and I am getting ready to drill the hull and sponsons to attach them to the carbon fiber tubes, I am performing a detailed inspection on them. In addition, I found that the OD of the rods varied from 9. 1 to 10. 2 with a digital caliper and perfectly flat surface. The size is 86 mm and the diameter is 10 mm A 16mm lens. If only I had worked with that, I would have been fine. It wouldn't matter if the tubes were straight if there were a 30mm discrepancy on their diameter. It's almost certain that the holes in the sponsons and the hull will be slightly overdrilled and will be filled with epoxy to hold them in place once the tubes are run through them. Diameter was only a small issue for which a fix could be found. However, by placing the tubes on a completely flat surface and rolling them to find out whether they were straight and true, I discovered they were both not. There is a visible bow that runs the length of each tube. The bow raises the center of each tube. The flat surface is 65mm away from the edge. An alignment problem caused by the bowing issue could create a 6 degree alignment problem that doesn't appear to be fixable! I would not recommend them for a detailed build due to a 6 degree alignment problem at speeds in excess of 100mph. The rods are nice, excellent for kite-type projects, but lack the precision and quality for detailed builds. Choose a different product if you are doing a detailed project that requires specifications. If you are doing a kite, get them because they are nice. Please see photos attached.
These carbon fiber tubes are the perfect choice for any project! The tubes have a smooth coating on them so no carbon splinters will happen. This is a high-quality carbon fiber tube that is also insanely durable, as well as insanely light. Tubes from these manufacturers can be expected to be of very high quality and to be very reasonably priced. It's incredible how happy I am with these tubes! I highly recommend.
Rods made from carbon fiber of superior quality. As opposed to using it as a spinning shaft that would have to be threaded through a ball bearing or ball race, I used it as a structural support for a remote controlled A few years ago, I had to replace a similar pair of rods that were damaged in a minor crash. There is just something wonderful about the carbon fibre weave. I would like you to know that the OD measurements varied from 8 to 10. The absolute minimum thickness is 5 mm Thankfully, it was 11 mm, which I found to be just right.
I was in need of something like this. Upon discovering that tubing, I knew it would be perfect for what I was looking for. It is my design to use the clamps and brackets. It works like a charm. The wobbles are far less likely to happen now that I have built up so much strength.
As 3D printer braces, I designed some brackets to attach these to them. Everything is perfect and my printer has been rock solid since I measured it. The product is excellent.

To replace the arms on my Immersion RC Vortex 285 drone, the product was exactly what I needed. All four arms fit perfectly and it only took me one piece to make them, so I had enough fabric to make backup arms as well. My thoughts just crossed my mind that I could make these arms longer than stock in order to fit larger props on these and convert these 5 " props to 6" or 7 " The pair I ordered will have to be replaced.
