Questions & Answers

What does it mean when someone says "picture frame"? Is it just on the edges that it's sticky?

Place the dressing over the wound after removing the sticky side of the backing. Around the outside of the dressing, there will be a white piece of edging, made of firm paper, about 1/2" wide. After you apply the dressing to the wound, it will peel off. Remove the picture frame and smooth down the outside edge of the dressing. This clear dressing will allow the wound to breathe, allowing it to stay clean and aiding in the healing process. I'm sorry, but I have a bit of a type A personality!

Is it possible to use multiple to cover a larger area? Is it true that they are inseparable?

I'm not sure you'd want to do that because the sticky edge would stick to whatever you're covering. It might work if you use petroleum jelly-infused gauze where they overlap, but getting a larger size would be preferable.

How many people arrive in a box?

Depending on the size, 4 x 4s are usually sold in packs of 50.

Anyone suffering from Crohn's disease or colitis should have this book
5/5

On January 1, I turned 36 years old. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and have had to go through numerous hospitalizations and surgeries at John Hopkins, as well as being on Remicade and being treated at the Cancer Center. I'm also on OxyContin for severe pain, so I've been switched to Fentanyl 100mcg every 72 hours, which I get from the pharmacy once a month in a box of ten. I had been buying 3M Tegaderm, but it took four of the dressings to cover them, and they were $8 for a bag of twenty. Anyway, I went to every big box pharmacy in my area out of curiosity to see if they sold them in larger quantities, but none of them carried the 3M Tegaderm. We only have one small local pharmacy, and they had exactly what I needed in the form of 3M Tegaderm, but there were only 30 in the box, and it cost $87. 99! Finally, I went back to Amazon's website and discovered that they had a larger patch (the 4 by 4) available. 75), and a box of 50 for $28 contained 50 of them. I purchased them right away, and thanks to Prime, they arrived the next day. This morning, I used one patch, which was perfect. If you absolutely have to use this product in the 4 x. It also comes in a box of 50 for $28. Now is the time to purchase it. I'm really glad I got these from Amazon. AMAZON, I LOVE YOU! For the rest of my life, I will be a customer!.

Not good! If you want a high-quality tegaderm dressing, go to a medical store
3/5

I've been a type 1 diabetic for more than 15 years. Due to my latex allergy, I've always relied on Tegaderm patches. I've always purchased them from Medtronic, but they're quite pricey, so I looked on Amazon and came across these, which I thought were such a good deal that I had to give them a try. These are a complete disaster. They only last a few hours, so I have to change them every time I get out of the shower and go to the gym. I also don't think these are good for sensitive skin because I get itchy rashes around my sensor and site, and they don't seem to be of the same quality as Medtronic's tegaderm patches, which I could wear for 6 days straight without the tape moving. So I'm not sure if these are genuine or not. I would have returned these if I had been able to, as I still have 45 of them and am unsure what to do with them.

This isn't the same Tegaderm I've been using for the past year

The W from the 1626 designation is missing on this Tegaderm. So, if you're looking for genuine Tegaderm, order 1626W. I'm starting to think I've been duped. We are going to use this because I paid a lot of money for it and it isn't returnable. It doesn't have the micropore tape that was used to indicate when the wound was last dressed. It has heavy paper on one side and regular paper on the other, which makes removing the heavy paper from the see-through area difficult. It's difficult to see where you're putting the Tegaderm because of this. In terms of the adhesive, I'm not sure. However, where the Tegaderm is applied to the skin, I've been experiencing more itching. Cavilon Cream is used to make removal easier. As you can see, I am not a fan of this item.

Clients forget they're wearing it, it holds up in the shower, and it doesn't need to be changed every day
5/5

Dressing is fantastic! For skin tears, this is one of my go-to products. My mother is an 88-year-old woman who suffers from paper-cuts. Skin that is very thin. Skin tears are a common occurrence in her life. I usually apply an Aquacel Ag directly to the wound and then cover it with one of these dressings. It withstands her picking at the dressing, holds up in the shower, stays on for several days so I don't have to put her through any more uncomfortable dressing changes, and it's simple to get her dressed over it. Simply put, this is a fantastic dressing to keep on hand. This product is fantastic!.

For those with sensitive skin, this is an excellent alternative wound care option

They're the best bandages I've ever seen! I visited a brick and mortar store in my neighborhood. When I went to buy a box of these at a brick-and-mortar store, I was shocked to learn that they were charging $6. 80 CENTS PER SHEET for a total of $90. For a box of ten, you'll have to pay 00. In my opinion, that is armed robbery. br>br>I got a great deal on a box of fifty of these on the internet. If you have nylon tapes, paper tapes, or any other type of rubber-based tape, please try Tegadem film dressing. Skin irritation is caused by backed bandages. br>Tegaderm film forms a waterproof barrier that can be used to treat wounds. My husband can even shower while wearing a tegaderm film bandage, which I replace afterward. br>br>These can be difficult to put on at first, but after years of practice, I've narrowed it down to four simple steps: br>1) Select the appropriate film size for the wound, ensuring that the film covers a larger area than the gauze (at least a half-inch larger). 2) Peel off the back and then flip over to hold by the paper-covered edges onlybr>3) Center over the wound so you can see the overlap and press down onto the skinbr>4) Hold down with one hand while peeling the paper edge off; sanding and double-checking the seal.

In the shower, it is not waterproof

TL; I recently had surgery and was told that I needed to keep the incision site dry. br>br>I recently had surgery and was told that I needed to keep the incision site dry. br>br>I recently had surgery and was told that I needed to keep the incision site dry. br>br> I bought these "waterproof" bandages to use in the shower after reading the reviews. br>br>I carefully applied the bandage, making sure there were no wrinkles or creases in the edge that could allow water to leak through. I was worried that the bandage wouldn't hold up, so instead of using just one, I layered another one across the top seam in the hopes of keeping the incision dry. br>br>Unfortunately, when I peeled the bandages off after the shower, the incision site was definitely wet, and water beaded on the sticky area of the bandage. Very dissatisfied. br>br> Only two stars because the bandage stayed in place and didn't completely peel off while I was showering. The generic bandages from Duane Reade did a better job of keeping the wound dry.

WATERPROOF isn't a word that comes to mind when describing this item THESE ARE NOT WATERPROOF IN ANY WAY
3/5

Yesterday I got my package. In the morning, I waited for the film to arrive in the mail before applying my pain patch. It costs $75 for a patch. To keep track of when it needs to be changed, you must mark it with the date and time. After applying the patch, I used the film to keep it from getting wet while bathing or showering. I took a shower after a long day at work, only to have the patch get wet, causing the time and day to run. My money had been completely squandered. Do not believe the reviews that claim they went swimming; this is simply not true. There are no refunds on these items.
