I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED, and I realized that if we could have done something, I would have had a good rescue mask by now. It was difficult to resist this offer. We have two to three medical emergencies per year as employees of a busy retailer. Having these on hand will come in handy if and when I am called to perform life-saving procedures!.
I keep it on my keychain at all times. Advantages: br>br>
- You can perform CPR without fear of harming yourself. br>- I've found the tiniest keychain rescue mask I can findbr>br>Consbr>- Despite its small size, it is a little too big to fit in your pocketbr>- Once the mask has been used, the keychain bag holder is completely useless (it would have been better to make a higher-quality keychain container and smaller masks to refill it). )br>br>Hopefully, you'll never need one, but if you do, you'll be glad you packed one!.
When I was a corrections officer, I had one on my belt, and now that I'm a cop, I have one as well. I keep one on each set of keys, as well as a few others stashed around the house. These are a must-have if you have your CPR certification.
On a trip to New Orleans, we came across a crowd of people gathered around a man who had collapsed on the street. Nobody was giving him CPR because he was having trouble breathing. One of these would have cost me $1000. I did, in fact, save someone's life by rescuing them from drowning. You can put up a barrier wherever you keep your keys. We purchased a five-pack to be used as stocking stuffers for our adult children. It's a little nerdy, but it might be a blessing in disguise.
They're small and convenient to carry around. Inside are small paper instructions, a quick-to-open plastic safety wrapper, and a set of lipstick lips on the mask that indicate where to take breaths! It's a great design and device, and it's a good investment.
The contents of the pouch. It turned out to be a lot smaller than I had anticipated! It fits perfectly on a key ring or a backpack and isn't too bulky or bothersome. The mask is protected inside the pouch by a cardboard sleeve and a piece of tape, which I would remove so that you can access it quickly in an emergency. It's not easy to remove the tape. br>The mask itself has elastic ear loops (which keep it on the patient's face) and a one-size-fits-all design. Rather than just a filter, a three-way valve is used. br>I'm glad I have this just in case, but I'm hoping I won't need it.
The keychain is a great size, and the carrier appears to be very sturdy. I've been EDCing it for quite some time now. I wish I could fit a pair of gloves in the pouch, but there isn't enough room.
It isn't a BVM or a pocket mask, but it is an improvement over nothing. I'd hate to think I could help someone but am unable to do so due to a lack of resources. These are extremely portable and convenient to take with you wherever you go.
