Questions & Answers

Will these masks be able to withstand high storage temperatures in the car? In the summer, car temperatures in my hometown of Florida can reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit. ?

They are not able to do so. However, a trauma bag should be kept in the car. There is only one way to keep the car cool in my opinion. Take it to a body shop and have it sprayed with an insulated truck liner, sound dampen the entire vehicle, and lay down a new liner, preferably a heavy duty rubber mat, and a new heavily carpeted insulated ceiling for around $800. You only need a sun shield for the front windshield because your windows are most likely tinted already. My car is still in the 70s. Even when it's 90 degrees outside, it's 80 degrees inside. There is a temperature of 100 degrees.

Is there a way to get O2 through these masks?

Yes, these CPR masks come with both an adult and a child mask. one-way valve and oxygen inlet, as well as a separate infant mask with the same one-way valve and oxygen inlet an oxygen inlet and a two-way valve Mr. Sully

What company makes these?

It was made in China for MCR Medical in Ohio, according to the instructions I received. It's also free of latex.

Is it true that the masks have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ?

I'm not sure what I'm saying. If it isn't listed in the product description, you will have to contact the manufacturer.

NOT FIT FOR ACTIVE DUTY IN THE FIELD
3/5

What you pay for is exactly what you get. This is yet another low-cost, poorly-made product from a foreign country with little quality control. That's perfectly acceptable - I'm just like everyone else when it comes to selling out - except in the case of medical devices, which must be dependable. The crimps/seals that keep air out of the sealing-system The bubble (which is necessary for a good seal around the patient's mouth and thus adequate ventilation) is weak and easily breaks - The first one was not even sealed (and thus useless), and the second one in the same shipment popped after the first training session. The volume of air inside this seal- The bubble is also not adjustable (which is crucial if you plan to travel or change altitude). br>br>If you want a mask, check the box and say you have one. You've been given fair warning. If you want a mask that will allow you to save a life in the event of an emergency, this is the mask for you. Take a look somewhere else. It may be suitable for training purposes (due to its low cost), but it does not appear to be capable of withstanding even that level of scrutiny. br>br>Attention: br>br>Disclaimer: There are no financial disclosures to make that are competing with one another. br>Knowledge: br>Knowledge: br>Knowledge: For the past seven years, I've worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (at various levels) and a Wilderness/First Response Educator.

I've had it for four years and it's still going strong, even after being damaged
5/5

After receiving my annual CPR re-certification in 2016, I purchased a rescue mask. (As a nanny, I'm required to have CPR certification. ) It's in my car, along with my mobile first aid kit, and it's velcro-attached. It connects to the strap via velcro, which is extremely strong - You've got to be desperate to remove it. Even when bashed and tossed around the car, going in and out, and all over the place, it remains extremely secure. br>br>The mask itself is OUTSTANDINGLY durable. I keep it in my car, as I previously stated (which isn't ideal, but I keep it there anyway so that I always have it with me when I go out). That means it's been exposed to extremely high temperatures. I recently took it out (guess why!). Once again, it's that time of year! ) and discovered that the heat had caused it to warp and flatten. I was disappointed, and I made a mental note to get a new one before my CPR/AED course began, but I didn't have time. Even though it was clearly unsuitable, I wanted to practice with it anyway because I knew I'd be getting a new one soon and wanted to get some practice with the mask. It still worked, guys. br>br> It's flattened, the cushion has taken on the red of the pouch it's in, and it held enough of a seal to inflate Steve's (yes, I named the manikins, DON'T JUDGE ME) chest. I had to press harder than I would have otherwise, and I had to wiggle it around to get the right seal (so - In an emergency, this isn't ideal! ), but I saw it as an opportunity to test myself. br>br>The harder plastic part that is supposed to keep its shape over the nose and mouth hasn't warped, discolored, or shown any signs of wear or tear or heat damage. The only damage to this thing is the soft cushion, which has survived three summers in New Jersey and one summer in Texas in the back of my car. The mask's stiffer plastic, as well as the valve itself, appear to be brand new. br>br>For LESS THAN TEN BUCKS, INCREDIBLE WORKMANSHIP? Unreal. The pouch is in good condition. It has a little pouch inside for gloves, alcohol wipes (or alcohol bottles, if that's more your style), and it hasn't frayed anywhere despite my abuse. Rescuers, like everyone else, require hydration. ), other breathing barriers, or gauze are all options. It has an elastic strap that is so tightly attached to the adult mask that the connection point, like the stiffer plastic, is unaffected by the sweltering heat in my car. br>br>The infant mask does not come with a strap. This is a very positive development. To avoid Shaken Baby Syndrome, you must keep your hand on the infant's head during chest compressions, and I found that holding the manikin's forehead and this infant mask together with one hand was no problem at all. br>br>It's hard to believe my little mask has lasted this long. As the plastic wears down and the heat affects it, I will ABSOLUTELY continue to buy this. Given the abuse I subjected it to, it's amazing how well it's held up. This little guy has a lot of potential!.

There is no valve but there is a filter
4/5

WNL, Ever Ready, and Ambu were all purchased and compared. For my facility, I went with the Ever Ready model. This model came in second place. Because it has two valves, there's no need to switch between adult and infant masks, which saves time. One valve should be stored on the adult mask because it is a tight fit and will waste time in an emergency; When the infant mask valve is on, it will not fit in the case, but it is simple to insert when needed. The MCR comes with a filter but no valve (the Ever Ready and Ambu come with a filter/valve combo, which is ideal). Because it is intended for lifeguards and water can compromise the filter, the lack of a valve was the deciding factor between this and the Ever Ready. An O2 inlet is included. The carrying case is flimsy (as is the case with WNL and Ever Ready), but it serves its purpose.

THE DEVICE IS MORE OF A NOVELTY ITEM AT A CHEAP PRICE
3/5

The device does not provide an adequate seal, and the contents and packaging are more of a novelty than something that would be useful in real life. The instructions are insufficient because they only instruct placing the strap around the victim's head; in practice, the mask would need to be pressed hard against the victim's face in order to achieve a seal. As a former paramedic, I am well aware that in an actual emergency, this device would most likely fail.

It works perfectly! These two masks are used in a CPR and basic water rescue class that I teach
5/5

This model is far superior to those sold at our university bookstore. It's great that it includes both adult and infant masks, because I've found that using an adult mask on an infant is extremely difficult. It's also reassuring to find gloves already in the bag! I always have a clean pair of gloves on hand, but it's nice to have a backup pair as well. The valves are simple to insert and remove from the masks. For the quality you are getting, the price is well worth it.

It'll be there when you need it
5/5

I bought this to go with an AED because it's always a good idea to be prepared. It's incredibly simple to use. It's a lot easier than trying to position a prone person correctly and then worrying about whether you're getting enough air into their lungs and the risk of communicable diseases. These masks require only that you blow into the vent-like tube, which provides the victim with more air than traditional mouth or mouth rescue breathing. They can be cleaned and fit into the small case nicely.

It's a good product, and it's a good seller
5/5

This is a great collection. I think I'm the only one in class who wears an infant mask. br>br>It works great on the infant dummies, where the adult masks are too big. I, like everyone else, hope I never have to use this, but knowing I have it on hand gives me a little more confidence. I believe that most people should take a CPR certification course for obvious reasons. Because my teacher is so enthusiastic about teaching us about this, the majority of us are taking it very seriously. I wish I had done this sooner in my life. br>br>This mask came with clear instructions and is made of sturdy material.
