If you have a tins unit, the wires will eventually stop working completely or at least not as well as they should. They will stop working if you simply roll them up and unroll them a few times. I believe it's because the copper wire's inner strands are so thin that moving them back and forth eventually broke them. As a result, anyone who uses a unit should keep a supply of these and the pads in a safe place in case they are needed. When I recently fell and injured my knee, I learned the hard way. I got out the tins unit, expecting it to be a lifesaver for my pain, but it didn't work. I tried replacing the pads and batteries, but nothing worked. I placed an order for them and waited in excruciating pain for them to arrive. When they arrived, I immediately connected it, and within 30 minutes, I was able to bend and straighten my leg, which I couldn't do before because I injured my muscle when I fell. From now on, I'll always keep extra wires and pads on hand, and I'll most likely purchase a second unit just in case. When you need something to work, you need it now, not two or three days later, so plan ahead, as I did.
My desire to reduce medication use necessitates the use of a TENS unit in my life. My old unit worked well and was dependable, but the wires began to fray. I could tuck in more wires if my unit was small enough to fit in a pocket, but they must hang out and get caught on everything. They, too, wear at bend points, just like cell phone charging cables. These are an excellent replacement and are reasonably priced, so I won't have to purchase a new tens unit. Because you get 5 pairs, they'll last a long time, and you can only replace one lead at a time, so you'll only need one pair and eight spares. They slid right into the connectors and didn't come loose.
When you buy in bulk, you can get a good deal. They typically last five to ten minutes. In the clinic for six months. That's not bad considering they're used on a daily basis. These TENS leads frequently fail where the wire connects to the unit at the L end of the wire; to test it, I simply wiggle the wire at the L end, and if the unit is on, the electric current will turn on and off. When that happens, you know it's time to replace it.
For a new TENS unit, I needed'replacement' leads. Experience has taught me that relying on only two leads is risky because having a spare on hand is invaluable when you need it. br>br>I can't speak to their durability because I haven't used them yet. They feel about as sturdy as the TENS unit's leads, which appear to be adequate at this point. They aren't as durable as EMPI leads, but EMPI leads won't work with the new unit.
For me, I wish they had lasted a little longer. The previous set only lasted about a week. When I use them, there is a lot of movement, which I understand, but surely someone makes quality wires that aren't as fragile; I like TENS, but not the wires. I wish I knew how to make them from scratch.
When I came across these replacement leads, I thought I'd have to shell out big bucks for a new unit. I took a chance on it. The set was ordered. I'm so glad I did! My unit was found to be in perfect working order, save for the wire leads, which had worn out or become loose. In any case, they're perfect for my Tens system. are a fantastic value for money!.
I'm not sure how else to put it. I found exactly what I needed. When I'm walking around my house, my Lead Wires for my tens keep getting caught on everything and breaking! These are fantastic, and I now have five of them! They're identical to the ones that came with my TENS unit when I first got it. They were delivered on time and in good condition.
These replacement leads were discovered and, thank goodness, they work perfectly! My TENS unit is essential for me as a chronic pain sufferer. It's almost a requirement. I was expecting to have to purchase a new one, and I'm thankful that these are available so that I don't have to.
