Because I don't have a needle sizer, I can't say for sure, but after sticking needles of various sizes in people for over 30 years, I'd say it's 20ga. A 22 is possible. My 18ga is a smaller, blunt 18ga. It isn't a 25ga by any means.
No, as long as the red tip is in place, it is sufficiently sealed to prevent oil from leaking. It's probably best not to fill the container all the way to the top, as this could cause the dispenser to overwork. One of these sits "on its side" in my desk drawer and does not leak. It's a great dispensing machine. Hoppe's "9" oil is also available in the same dispenser and comes pre-filled with oil. The gun oil is light in weight and clear, making it ideal for sewing. It's safe to use in a machine and won't gum up.

If the multicolor cartridges have a built-in print head, it's highly unlikely. The needle appears to be a little short (29mm), but this should not be an issue if the ink level is kept low. It's nearly impossible to refill a cartridge with a built-in print head if the ink runs out. The needle does not have the same sharp tip as a syringe needle. It's possible to sharpen the tip to help it pierce through the foam inserts in the ink cartridges to get to the bottom to the side (diagonal, not straight down to avoid the print head), but then you'll run into another problem - a gradual delivery I would look into syringe-based ink unless you can squeeze the bottle very slowly to avoid ink leaking through the bottom from pressure buildup, as ink takes a long time to saturate the foam inserts from the bottom up. such as delivery If you let go of the syringe for a few minutes between small incremental fills, it will not have negative internal pressure, which would cause it to suck up the ink.

The bottle's design has been altered! The new bottle is round, with a very thin cap and a metal needle that is half the length of the old one. I've already tried them out with grease/oil, and I don't think there's a better oiler on Amazon, so I'll keep them - However, the oiler shown in the photo is NOT what you will receive, and I ordered five and only received four. It's extremely aggravating!.
I ordered three of these small bottles to use as precision oilers and the like. Mine have needles and scabbords that are 19 gauge (as measured with a digital caliper and compared to a table of standard needle gauges). For water-based fluids, 19 gauge is getting a little too big. Although it is thin, it is still fully functional. It would be ideal for thicker oils. br>br>The bottle measures 2 7/8" from the bottom to the tip of the plastic cap; The needle measures about 1 1/8" in length and stands about 4 1/8" tall. If you plan to fill these with fluids from larger containers, you might want to invest in a set of small funnels like these. br>br>I'm deducting one star because the inside of the cap around the needle's bottom end isn't very well finished, with a lot of plastic flash that's nearly impossible to remove. This won't harm you for any purpose I can think of, so it's a good choice. br>br>Edit, February 2017: While I haven't purchased one of these in a while, I notice that the bottle and needle have changed. I'm not sure I'd enjoy it as much now. Leaving my four-year-old daughter at home I can't give it a five-star rating because I haven't seen the new one in person.
These were purchased for the purpose of using with oil. To keep my spinning wheel and other crafting machines in good working order. The needle tip allows for precise lubrication of moving parts, with less spillage to clean up and keep it off of fabric and fiber. Alternatively, dirt and debris can be collected. I'm sure they'll come in handy for others who have similar oiling jobs. I also save money because there is less waste. I had some difficulty getting the oil applied where it was needed, but now everything is much smoother and quieter, and they will last a lot longer because they are properly lubricated.

This is an excellent solvent. I used to dunk the patches in my hoppes 9 container, but they would absorb too much solvent and drip all over my rifle, floor, and desk. Noe, I can raise the rod with the patch by the chamber/breach and drop this bottle 5-feet. 6 drops of solvent on the patch, and it can be sent down the bore without causing a mess. I'm likely to get another to assist me in lubricating the rails on my handguns and getting into other tight spaces. I just wish the cap had a way to keep it attached to the bottle when it's not in use; it's small and likely to be misplaced.
They had oval bottles that didn't roll off the table, longer metal rods, and a bright red cap that could be reinstalled with one hand, so I'm forced to say they cheated and sold it under the same part number as the previous superior product. Buyer Beware!.
This was ordered so that gun oil would be applied to the exact locations where it was needed. They are extremely efficient. I also ordered syringes to do the same thing, but I ended up putting the oil in this product instead. The problem with a syringe applicator is that it overapplies lighter oil, and if there is an air bubble in the system, oil ends up all over the place. With these bottles, however, that is not the case. Because the needles are delicate and require some protection, I would suggest keeping them in a cheap box. I also store them flat on their sides and have yet to experience any leaks.
Non- My favorite penetrating oil is Kroil aerosol, but it's a little pricey and hard to come by in my area. br>br>This bottle is also a little pricey due to its size, but it delivers a small amount of Kroil directly to the rusted fastener, even in small spaces. I haven't had it long enough to comment on its long-term durability, but so far it hasn't leaked, holds enough for a variety of uses, and the small gauge needle gets where it needs to go.
