Heavy staple pulling was not designed for this machine
3/5

It is only suitable for light or medium duty use. A hardwood floor had staples stuck in it, so I bought several tools to remove them. It was the previous owner who stapled luan plywood to the hardwood floor so that linoleum could be installed. The Luan had been ripped up, but we had left hundreds of staples that protruded 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch from the floor. The original Maple floor underneath needed to be sanded and refinished, so these had to be pulled out. They bent downwards as a result of the pulling force of the staples, which rendered the device practically As well as the metal fangs bending, it has a very sharp edge. By its sharpness, the tool actually split the staple at the pressure point, left its two ends in the wood, and left the other side of the staple untouched. I had to use a pair of pliers to pull each side of the staple out individually. Generally speaking, my job was an extreme duty job, but it is worth noting that my position required heavy lifting. Staples were 1 inch in length, and were buried in maple hardwood There was no effectiveness with this tool, and it was not as strong as the floor After being discarded, it was disposed of. It should be adequate for light-duty work or even light duty. With a grinder and a $3 pry tool from Harbor Freight, I made a tool that works like a charm.

For removing carpet staples, this product is a necessity
5/5

As part of my carpet replacement, I had to take out the staples that held the carpet down. Having done this at my old house, I found this to be a brutal experience, so I had to think of a better solution. I found this tool when I was searching for it. My carpet has already been removed from one room, and the ease of taking staples up with this method was like night and day after using pliers and screwdrivers. This thing whipped my staples up like butter through a hot knife. Please note that your mileage may vary depending on how strong the staples are and the type of There seemed to be less staples in my new house than in my old house (I am not sure whether they are any smaller than I remember previously), as they were I do not know if it made a difference that the staples came from oak floors that had been refinished. I had to remove staples from solid oak floors once that were covered up. Having said that, I can say with 100% certainty that this tool removed these staples in such a short time that I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I thank you for saving my life! I didn't realize how difficult it would be to take out the old staples when I decided to reupholster the dining room chair seats! The screws were so tightly anchored that I couldn't get them out no matter what I did
5/5

search on the Internet, I found out that there are various tools specifically designed for this purpose. This one is my favorite because it isn't only good at removing staples, but it can also be used to pull out brads and I can't believe what a difference it makes to have the right tool! In the past, I've spent over an hour prying out staples with a screwdriver and hammer from just one seat, but once this kit arrived, I was able to remove a seat cleanly in about 15 minutes. When I used it on 7 chair seats, plus to remove a couple of errant staples during the installation of the new upholstery, it did exactly what it was I believe it is one of the best investments I have.

I like this very much! The first thing I must say is that I don't do professional upholstery, but I do love reupholstering old, well-worn furniture Made the chairs for my dining room and for friends' dining rooms

There was a great fear in my mind that the current project would get to me–I just hate to put myself through that The staples were too tight, small, and an often jamming gun caused the staples to be installed with excessive pressure. The staples appear to be stacked on top of each other (otherwise why are there so many staples? ) I am happy to have invested in this tool. It worried me reading some of the reviews that the prong tips would break off, but they are quite strong! Despite the fact that it seemed possibly to break almost any tool, I was careful to treat it with respect -- and with my trusted needle-I got the job done. With the cone-nosed pliers, I could do my job much faster than before. don't know how well it would hold up under daily use, but as a hobbyist, it should be fine.

It can remove staples without damaging the paper

Refinishing the flooring in a mobile home is on my to-do list. It will take you hours to remove all the staples from the floor. The tool I used provided me with the assistance I needed. As far as I can tell, the flooring used to be carpet with There are around two inches of staples in the plywood flooring and they are well-buried. Even though I have to work at it, this tool is the only thing that does the job somewhat quickly and easily. It also has 1/4 inch staples and is really effective at removing them with very little effort. The handle is easy to hold for hours and the bend makes it a blessing for those who are not very strong (I am a 68 year old woman). As a result, I am giving this five stars because it greatly simplified my job!.

When it comes to hiring the right tool, you just need to know what to buy

If you're working on upholstery, this is the tool you must have. We discovered that each of our kitchen chairs had hundreds and hundreds of staples holding the existing covering in place when we first decided to replace the seats. To remove the staples, I used a screwdriver sharpened with a little bit of grease, but it was not During my research, I found this tool on the Internet. It is exactly what I was looking for. The stapler will get under the tightest staples and lift them into a place where pincers, pliers, or other tools can grasp and remove them. This is a highly recommended book.

Large numbers of staples can be removed with ease
5/5

As a result of Hurricane Michael, our front screens (facing the bay) were blown out. The wind speed in our area was only 70 mph with gusts of 90 mph, though we came from somewhere 41 miles east of Mexico Beach, FL. Unfortunately, only one of our six 5'x10' screen panels remained intact. Moreover, the one surviving panel However, it was only the top panels that were damaged, so we replaced top and bottom on all 6 panels in order to make a seamless screen. There were almost as many original staples we had to remove. Using a staple lifter tool along with a pair of staple pulling pliers made the job a lot For jobs requiring a large number of staples to be removed, I highly recommend using this tool.

When I'm reupholstering furniture, this is the easiest way I've found to remove staples
4/5

There is a cloth covering on the seats of my dining room chairs. It is not practical - The least I can do is to be It took me a considerable amount of effort to take out the staples that held the chair's fabric to its frame, so I purchased some vinyl that looked quite similar to the original cloth. Every chair has about 25 staples in it. I have six chairs in my office. My knife and pliers brought me to the realization that a better way had to exist. It was the reviews for this item that convinced me to buy it. It still takes some time to get the staples out, but I certainly don't find it so frustrating as my previous method.
