My mouth is filled with large gashes as a result of this. Braces were excruciatingly painful and inconvenient to wear. Finally, I ordered it, and it arrived the next day. I was able to trim my wire with ease, and there was no more pain or annoyance from wax. I'm kicking myself for not ordering it sooner. 😀.
It clipped the wire, but the end of these is a little bulky, so it didn't clip it short enough. My daughter's cheek is no longer poked by me. I work as an Ortho dental assistant, so I guess I'm spoiled by the ones I work with. Although these can cut a long wire, I was unable to cut it flush with the bracket.
Has saved us from a trip to the orthodontist on more than one occasion when a brace wire has started poking in a cheek because the teeth have moved. br>br>It's incredibly simple to use, and it keeps the clipped piece from falling into the mouth.
Because I couldn't see my orthodontist, the shifted and protruding wires were driving me insane! I've been able to eat and speak without difficulty thanks to this wire cutter. My orthodontist, on the other hand, may not be pleased to learn that I cut my own wires.
I've had some poking from my braces wire for a while, to the point where it was cutting into the tissue of my cheek. Mann, you saved my life.
These pliers are so good at cutting wire that I accidentally cut clean through two-thirds of my ceramic brackets while cutting the wire. I say this to let you know that it works, but you should use it with caution.
This came in handy when I needed braces fast. I just got it in and used it on the top wire that was poking me and it worked fine, then I used it on the bottom wire and heard a snap, but it wasn't the wire cutting, it was the tool itself snapping a piece of as shown. Guess this thing isn't very durable.
