The issue is not with the brackets; it is with the dental "cement," which is difficult to remove. They weren't exaggerating when they said "dental cement," believe me.

Because I didn't take care of my teeth properly when I was younger, I have terrible teeth. Every two years or so, I lose a tooth. These days it's been three years. Going to the dentist to have these suckers pulled can be quite costly, so when one needed to come out of my head recently, I decided to do it myself. I was looking for a cost-effective alternative to going to the dentist, and these pliers fit the bill perfectly. I used oragel to numb the area before going after it. I was relieved of my 3-year contract in no time. I've been debating whether or not I want to go to the dentist for the past four months. These things are fantastic and well worth your time if you aren't a wimp.
If you're unable to return to the dentist, this is a good alternative; however, exercise caution.
This was purchased by my son, and it is absolutely fantastic.
