The length of these is 11".
I don't own any Hegars, so I can only assume they don't reach the prostate as well as these Pratts.
There's never been a time when I didn't have a problem. The first time I used it, I got an infection. I guess I didn't do a good enough job of cleaning them. Best wishes to you.

It was almost too good to be true when it came to the price. The smallest dilator in the set was deeply pitted when it arrived - Corrosion appears to be present. The quality is extremely poor. More reputable sources sell Pratt dilators for $50. It'll be well worth your time and effort. This set will be returned to me. br>br>The rest of the sounds appeared to be in good shape. On each sound where the size changes, there are close-up photos of the welds. Although I prefer Hegar's seamless appearance, no one has complained about the ridge/bump causing discomfort.
I began with the tiniest of items. which was a tad on the small side. The pointy end was a little too much for me. It, on the other hand, slid into place with ease. Sizes were increased to the second, third, and fourth. It just slips into place. I'm almost there. I'm excited to progress to bigger and bigger things. At first, I was apprehensive. but now. WOW ! There are four sizes down and twelve to go! humina.
Get the ones that aren't bent, rather than the ones that are bent. If you're not limp, you won't be able to get it down.
The set can be put to work. Mine, on the other hand, was a mismatch; The size numbers were die stamped into the set in a crude manner, resulting in raised edges. I ended up polishing them with a set of sandpaper grits that gradually increased in size until they were completely smooth.
The polishing, on the other hand, is superb.
