That isn't what it was designed for. It would, I believe, quickly disintegrate. You could probably make a travois by threading poles through the handles.

To be used in water rescue situations. We like the fact that there are so many handles for heavy transports.

For my car, I purchased this. As an EMT, I will occasionally respond to a situation in which we must move someone. This is small enough to fit in my car and strong enough to lift almost anyone.

It was extremely helpful when traveling by plane. It's preferable to using the isle wheelchairs. As needed, it can also be used to transfer from a seat to a wheelchair. Without this tool, I would not have been able to transport the 300-pound patient.
