My understanding is they have not yet been rated by the TCCC. As of last I checked, there are a few companies producing these style of tourniquets that are facing copyright or other legal issues. This rating has not been granted due to the manufacturer's inability to apply for it. It is difficult for me to tell the difference between the two except for the grip hole in the loop and the metal windlass over a The T has and Thank you. I hope this answers your

A misleading advertisement is displayed on the website. A statement on the product states that the materials are made in the U. S. Then you discover the product was assembled in China when you receive it. What the heck. This is where the entire product is made and assembled. I am impressed with the quality of this product. You, on the other hand, are incorrect. Recon Medical is laying off workers. You should be ashamed! Some products go so far as to say there is no material made here at all.
I would say this is one of the best tourniquets I have ever used. I was very impressed with how well the material is holding up over the years. It is convenient to have a metal handle, since I have a habit of snapping plastic handles. For me, it has been worthless but maybe it will be useful for someone else out there. This is not affecting the quality of the tourniquet and doesn't compromise its effectiveness. However, they are not approved for use by the military, which is my only disappointment. If you have a tourniquet or need a case for it with the company, then that is possible.
The tourniquets hospitals provide me with are familiar to me because I used to work in EMS. Since they were a good fit for the field, we never gave it much thought. When I first received the shoes, I thought the prices were a little high, but when I saw the quality of the materials, my mind was blown. Though I hope I will never have to use these, if I should, I trust that they will perform as they were intended.
A tq with an aluminum windlass, strong stitching, Velcro, and what seems like a very good quality product was delivered to me. My hope is that I'll never have to use this product, but I'm confident that it can be used. CATs do not consider themselves to be Recon's. Moreover, they do not take advantage of anyone, all they have done is made a quality, affordable, and affordable tq.
The stitching and webbing, along with the buckles and windless, scream quality, and I found the finger hole to be an excellent feature when applying the tourniquet for the first time. As a result of my strong appreciation for this device, I bought 12 for my church, and every one of my IFAKS should have a Recon tourniquet inside.
So far I have not used one, but I have done some research to find the right one and have bought a few These are great! I really like them. There are no obvious defects in the materials. It would have been better if the base plate was a bit thicker for rigidity, but from what I can tell, it appears to be extremely sturdy and will definitely work when needed most. I was surprised by how expensive it is compared to cheaper brands with plastic windlasses, but I knew I would get what I paid for, and I figured my life is worth far more than a cheap windlass.
These are really cool. I enjoy them a lot. A few of mine have been tried on me, my dad, and my fiancée. So far I'm being pleased with it that I'll be getting more. It isn't within my means to pay for the top name brands. In my opinion, these are at least as good as the original. It's nice to have the metal windlass to use.
Have not used it but an ex-paramedic said it's good As part of every firefighter's personal kit, he keeps this item as well. We have had quite an unsettling year this year, 2020. I made eight custom First Aid/Trauma Kits for myself and my extended family members as part of my project. The CERT IFAK (Community Emergency Response Team Individual First Aid Kit) I own has been updated to reflect pandemics, active shooters, and the Stop the Bleed campaign to strengthen emergency response to these situations.
