Although they are safe for use on cats, I'm not sure I'd use them for that purpose because they become slimy when they come into contact with saliva and I believe it would be messy.
I believe the swab is about 4 1/4" long, so the individual bags are about 5" long. There are 250 in a box, but I believe you can buy a smaller quantity if you want to try them out. I hope this answers your question.
They're similar to the sticks found in tootsie pops. If you leave them in a liquid for too long, the stick will become soft and difficult to use.
They're what I use to apply mouthwash to my clients who can't do it themselves. If you're going to use them with toothpaste, I'm guessing you'll have to be careful.

They're impostors. In my son's mouth, they crumble. They also have a plastic stick as opposed to Sage's cardboard one. We can't swab my son because the stick bends in his mouth - In addition, the head disintegrates. This is the first time I've received fake, imitation Sage swabs, which I order on a monthly basis for my son. (Yes, I'm that picky when it comes to swabs - It's a big deal when you're trying to keep your son from choking on saliva and drainage. They aren't Sage, as you can see in the photo. (Sage also comes in a darker pink color and is attached to a paper cardboard stick. ).
After removing my dentures, I purchased these to clean my gums. They are effective in this regard, but they are not always reliable. The stick is similar to a lollipop when used as a swab for dry mouth. It falls apart when wet, so I prefer the toothette oral care plus (green), which has a longer plastic stick. The sponge is larger, and it also lasts longer.
Radiation and chemotherapy did not kill me. With a severely weakened immune system, I am extremely susceptible to infections. This product is a godsend to me because it assists me in removing bacteria from the mouth, throat, and nasal area, which is the first and most common entry point for infection. They have no odor and have a mild flavor, in my opinion. When I first notice a sore throat, I turn to this product for relief. After brushing, flossing, and rinsing my teeth, I use this product. throughout the day.
I pay a higher price for these because they work so well. I once purchased a less expensive brand and got exactly what I paid for. I don't like paying a higher price for better quality, but I do appreciate it.
What's not to like? They're individually wrapped, delicious, effective at cleaning and stimulating gums, and they're reasonably priced.
It's great for cleaning or massaging the mouth after it's woken up.
Two large bags were delivered with the items. Each bag is supposed to contain 250 pieces. While I was using the toothettes, I kept track of how many I used. There were four extra pieces in the first bag, totaling 254 pieces. The second bag had 232 pieces, 18 pieces less than the first, so I was 14 pieces short on the two-bag order. I don't think I'll be able to find any resolution to this problem. However, I DID PURCHASE 250 pcs.
I adore these little oral sponges because they are soft, have no odor, and have no bad taste. It keeps my gums squeaky clean without causing me any discomfort! br>NO DISTINCTIVE TASTE OR ODOR - Only use it once and then throw it away! I recently underwent gum surgery and had my teeth extracted - aided in the prevention of infection and complications.
