Selected User Reviews For Ophthalmic Eye Occluder with 14 Holes for Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists and Optometrists to Eye Exam
My cataract surgery was completed a few months ago. It went well, but my post-operative visual acuity was not as good as I had hoped due to a previous radial keratotomy. I bought this pinhole occluder and a Snellen eye chart on Amazon. With the occluder, I was able to read the 20/20 line and all but one letter on the 20/16 line, giving me confidence that with corrective lenses, I should be able to achieve 20/20 vision. The occluder was simple to use, and unlike some other reviewers, I found the occluder's holes to be adequate for my needs. Good value for money, and it alleviated my fears that I wouldn't be able to see clearly even with glasses. It comes highly recommended from me.
Likes: Low cost, prompt delivery, and a well-designed product packaged. dislikes: br>br>dislikes: br>br>dislikes: br>br>d Pinholes appear to me to be too small, too deep, and shaped in such a way that light gathering, focus, and dispersal (or something) are of little use. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> My observations may or may not be relevant or perceptible to other users. Others may find the instrument to be adequate. In any case, I'll leave my personal screenings to the pros.
You will be unable to obtain a precise assessment. Regrettably, holes of various sizes could have been used. You could make one of these yourself with a small pin.
It works, but I'm not sure if it's the same pinhole used by professionals.
It's cheap, but it's of good quality, and it works well for checking each eye separately.
I would not recommend this product. Both of the items I purchased for the office lasted less than a month. Made for a low price. br>Used an alcohol swab to clean and it broke. SMH.
It's helpful for people who have trouble seeing.
Even with the most meticulous care, a pinhole will break off.
