Having been born paraplegic and constantly in and out of chairs, I have dealt with the problem of pressure sores my whole life. Now confined to my bed for the last 5 years, I am experiencing permanent pressure sores. I've never used a cushion like this before. Having the 4" height is great, as I am 180 pounds, so I really need that 4" to let out enough air to allow me to sit inside the cushion instead of sitting ON it. Other air filled and gel filled cushions worked okay, but always had sores after a while. When you have less than 4", your butt is already touching the seat top under the cushion by the time you get the cushion soft enough to sink into it. Many insurances, including Medicare, will not cover pressure sore cushions since they are considered a luxury item due to their price. However, if a pressure sore occurs, the insurance company will pay far more in medical costs to resolve the issue than paying for the cushion and prevention. It's so sad. August 15, 2018 was the date on which we received the cushion. Our investigation also revealed that the product could not be returned. When we first used the cushion we discovered that it leaked even with the valve tightly closed. We had to re-pump despite making sure it was tightly closed. This is not good at all! The money we paid for is not returning to us! We spent almost $400 on the purchase. Included in the price is It's not fair to expect us to keep a product that was defective from the start! In addition, all calls are non-emergency We accept returns!.

The price of this popped from $369 to $750 in June after I purchased it in March. In the event that it is not replaced after 60 days, it will not be replaced. As one would expect for something as expensive as this, my grand daughter who has been through two surgeries and skin grafts in three months for pressure sores needs this more than ever. Even so, it didn't last. She had previously had a hair conditioner that lasted The company believes in this for only three months, and this sum is way too much money! It is the last time I will purchase from this company. They cannot afford the purchase of a new one every few months either. As soon as I receive a response on whether the product is defective, I will buy from a different company. My money should be returned or at least I should get an answer about replacing it.
