The weight of the person does not seem to affect this. Mine is great. I think if it were used regularly it would need to be replaced, but that would probably be in a year or so. This seat cushion is made of good quality material. This is not a thin or a poor quality garment

In addition to the two wheelchair seat cushions I purchased, I also purchased two other wheelchairs. The memory foam wheelchair cushion that my husband likes the most is this one. It is comfortable and gives good support. He sits on it during dialysis too, so he's comfortable with it three times a day. It is impossible to get up after sitting for 5 hours without being able to move.

I can't believe how much of a difference the My day revolves around being in a wheelchair the majority of the time. As soon as you sit down in it, it becomes a little hard, but the warmth of your body makes it pliable. It arrived quickly, I got it on Saturday. My first reaction was to sit right down when it was open. I will continue using it on both my wheel chair and my work chair, even though I will only be able to use it on my wheel chair for a short period of time. Total time for me to complete the project is about 15 hours. In the event that it fails after I return to work I will revisit the review and make the necessary adjustments.
