I have occassionally used the item with satisfactory performance over the past year. My first instinct was to remove the cover to inspect for a puncture or separated foam, but I found none. Having bought this cushion three times, I will be buying it again. It was an excellent product. Here's my experience. When you sit on it regularly, it softens up and becomes quite comfortable. At first, it feels hard, but after a while it becomes more comfortable. In the starting phase, you sit lower than when it's firm and jarring to your hips, lower back, or "sit bones". If it softens up a bit, you sit lower than when it's in its starting configuration. As a matter of fact, I use it with a thin memory foam pad on top. As a result, you sit higher up in the chair, but it is more comfortable. I must say, though, that once it softens up, this is a pretty nice cushion. The chair I use every day allows me to sit for many hours without discomfort (if it helps, I weigh about I own two newer bikes but the first two suddenly dropped much lower in the middle where my weight is. Although I am not certain why, I suspect that gel leaked out of the cushion but stayed inside. The position at that point was very uncomfortable because my hips were held much higher than the middle of my body. In spite of that, $30 inclusive of tax isn't too bad for two years of sat for two years, although I can't wait to get over the initial "hard period. ".

As we were shopping for a new wheelchair pad, we looked at many others, but this one remained the most popular one since she loves how it feels and the price was There were other pads that were not firm enough or that did not provide her with the comfort that this now offers. This is the third one we bought. No matter what the change in materials and production process may be, it is quite a change. This one didn't feel as good the gel was thin and moved around more, so when that one broke she wanted to try something else, but we couldn't find anything that looked good for a reasonable price, so we just got a third one, but they are uncomfortable now.
