Her physical therapist suggested a rolling walker, which I found after doing some research. It's lighter in weight, has good brake controls, a comfortable seat, and handles that adjust to my aunt's height (which is crucial). She did a fantastic job with it and is overjoyed. She believes she can walk at a more normal pace and stands up straighter as a result. She also has the option of sitting whenever she is tired or waiting for an elevator. Her caseworker is overjoyed - Folding and storing it in the trunk is simple. My aunt also enjoys the convenience of being able to store items in the included basket. br>br>The only drawback was that the first one arrived with a broken hand brake, which we had to return. Because I don't live near her, and her physical therapist had to assist in the packing and shipping, this was a particularly difficult situation. It would be preferable if Amazon took care of the delivery of such items - especially because they are usually distributed to an elderly and possibly infirm population.
Amazon provided me with a phone number to contact the seller in the hopes of finding a solution or receiving a replacement. It wasn't a valid phone number. Finally, I went to a hardware store and had the nut rethreaded and a suitable bolt found. A $5 fix. Another matter to consider: The brakes are ineffective in stopping the wheels from moving.
This was bought for my disabled mother, who hasn't been able to walk in years. The frame buckled on her the first time we tried to get her to walk with the walker, and she fell, injuring herself and my two-month-old daughter. This should not have happened because she is well below the weight limit. Because this was a DEFECTIVE product, I'm hoping the manufacturer will correct it.
I discussed with her what she was looking for in a new rolling walker and showed her a variety of options that met her criteria; this one had it all. It was delivered to my house so that I could put it together before giving it to her, and it was a breeze to put together. Mom has been using it for the past five months and is extremely pleased with it. I've asked if she's had any issues with it, but she hasn't mentioned anything. I've had to fold it a couple of times to get it into my car, and it's so much lighter and easier to maneuver than her previous rollator, making it very portable.
This walker was purchased for my mother after she underwent surgery and required assistance. I had another one for my father, but we gave it to the care center when he died. This walkabout deluxe lite rollator is so light that it can easily be stowed in the trunk or car. It folds up easily and has a very comfortable seat. It glides along smoothly, and the loop brakes are simple to use; even my elderly mother can lock them. I was disappointed to receive a pouch style basket instead of the wire basket shown in the advertisement and description. It's still a great basket, but it's not as sturdy as a wire basket. I believe this is ideal in terms of ease of use and comfort.
" This rollator has alleviated a great deal of my walking anxiety. I can now walk longer distances and my balance has improved as a result of it.
For the price, this is a great walker. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. Folding is easy. has a place to sit compartment for storing things.
