When I use the scooter, it has a soft cushion that molds to the shape of my knee. It does provide a little more cushion and comfort to my knee; however, when I'm on the scooter for longer periods of time, I tend to sweat on the knee where it bends, which is why I wish the material was waterproof. It's not that the cushion gets wet or anything, it's just a personal preference. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a little more knee comfort.
The pad appeared to be brand new, with the plastic still intact. However, it already has a knee indentation that runs the entire length of the cushion, rendering it useless as a cushion.
The cushion is ideal for protecting the knee scooters' rubberized surfaces. During the warmer months, I had rubbed the skin off my knee, whereas in the winter, I had no such problems. I only wish it were a little thicker, but it's a fantastic product that adds to comfort.
