I'm planning on getting a knee replacement in the next few years, so I bought this to use on a two-day rental knee trolley at Disneyland. br>br>The good. Soft, thick, and long-lasting. br>br>The drawbacks. The standard pad on the rental unit is too small. The pads on almost all trolleys are rectangular, but this cover is almost square. I could have pulled it down over the base like a fitted sheet on a bed if it had been 2" longer, but I was constantly fighting it popping off because I could barely (and I mean barely) stretch it over all four sides but couldn't pull it down over the base like a fitted sheet on a bed. br>br>In terms of comfort, I'm sure your knee would get used to it over time if this were a permanent situation, but despite the thick pile, this pad has very little extra functional padding. I was fortunate enough to have purchased 2" memory foam and cut it to size before placing it beneath this cover, which saved the day. br>br>For the money, it served its purpose, but the sizing was off by a significant amount, and the actual comfort provided for a full day's use was pretty limited.
So, the base of my fifth metatarsal will heal in 8 to 12 weeks. I needed a small cushion because I'll be using it for a while, and this is a soft cover made of faux sheepskin. It held up well after washing and drying in a zippered pillowcase. You may need to add more padding beneath it, but for the price, it's hard to beat. I took a couple of soft knit wool beanies and draped them over the side of the scooter, like a sock, where my knee usually sits. It'll be more padded if you put this on top of them. My knee is still developing a callus, but it would be a lot worse if I didn't have it. I'm glad I bought it in the end.
Every time I use it, it slips off the seat, and I have to tug and pull to get it back on. It irritates me a lot! Within two weeks of use, it had matted down as well. It now feels as if there is no padding at all under my knee. I wish I had bought a different one, but since I'll be using the scooter for a while longer, I'll have to make do with what I have. Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of money.
My wife recently had foot surgery and borrowed a BodyMed scooter from a friend to help her get around. The scooter is functional, but the seat for her knee was cracked and uncomfortable, so we purchased this cover, which she adores! It was a great deal, and it arrived the next day! It has made us extremely happy!.
It's the perfect size for my husband's Elenker knee scooter.
I enjoy how gentle it is. This cover is extremely comfortable. My only complaint is that it kept sliding off the seat, causing the cover to fray. The scooter is a hazard, and it would be much better if it had straps or a nonslip design. safer!.
I borrowed a knee scooter from a friend so that I could have one on each floor of my house. A cover pad cushion was included with hers. Oh, how it improves the comfort of the scooter. I needed one for my collection as well. br>br>It's machine washable, so it'll stay clean for a long time.
This gives your knees a nice place to sit.
