Having a couple of bariatric walkers (one of which stays in my car), I was delighted to find these heavy duty wheels that make my life much easier. I can move smoothly even on rough surfaces with them because they support my weight. The ski type of glides on the rear legs have also proven helpful in allowing greater freedom for the front wheels to move. These wheels and glides were available from an Amazon search, and both were easy to install and adjust the height of.
My mom loved them. I bought them for her. Walking with her walker does not provide her with any sense of safety.
Everything went according to plan.
In addition to using a walker, I also use a power wheel at home, which allows me to be more independent when I am at home. As I move from room to room, I carry a bag that carries all my stuff, so some days I only have something light and other times I carry a lot of heavy things. As a large older lady with postpolio, I sometimes use a walker to balance myself, but at other times I find I am unable to walk and I need something that they can hold me up in as well as carry my things. I am able to walk most days using the regular universal wheels, but on days when I am unable to do anything, the walker is carrying most of my weight, which it wasn't really designed to handle. They work great as they can withstand anything you throw at them. With the regular universal wheels on, I found I was not stable enough on my bad days despite fitting the weight limits. Now I feel very secure and steadfast even when I do not fit the weight limit. This is a great product, thanks for offering it.
I wanted it to be just what I wanted.
It works fairly well, except for the fact that only three wheels touch the ground.
This is a much nicer set of wheels than my originals.
There is no explaining why these wheels don't work as well as the ones that came on my walker, which I would have never had to replace had I not somehow managed to drive over one wheel with my car without touching the rest of it. In addition to feeling delighted and relieved, I was also super relieved to find it was just a broken wheel, as my initial fear was that it was the cat (which was an insane fear reaction). Looking back, I believe the cat had positioned my walker in just the right place, next to the car, so that when I drove out of the garage, the wheel would be crushed and rendered She was almost surely snickering through the cat door as she poked her head out. There's just something you guys don't get about her she wants me to fall. Nonetheless, they were delivered within two days (a big victory! It is possible that a lesser functioning results from an alignment problem There is no problem - it works The animations are just not as smoothe as they were in.
