I think this cushion would work well for this, but I'm not sure if it's big enough. I'm 150 pounds, and I "fit" nicely in the indented area for the legs. It's a firm cushion that would hold up to a lot of weight. If this helps, the cushion measures 18" across in total, with each raised indent area measuring about 3"
It has a 325-pound carrying capacity. Despite the fact that you didn't ask, it was purchased for a sciatica sufferer. Regrettably, this cushion exacerbated the problem.

I'm a big guy, so this seat cushion is ideal for me; I use it on a wooden chair, and it's a lifesaver. It does move around a little, but I don't think this would be an issue if you sat in a different chair. One thing to keep in mind is that it will initially raise you a couple of inches. To compensate, I placed a small flat box beneath my laptop. As the cushion is compressed, the height difference between the two becomes less noticeable.
Among other things, I have a bad back and am extremely overweight. I work from home and spend the majority of my time sitting for 11 hours a day. RIGHT NOW, THIS COVERAGE IS LIFE. I rarely write reviews, but I've been in a lot of pain recently and have been using regular pillows, which haven't helped much. There are now three of these in my possession.
My husband has a body mass index of 350. He's always in pain from his tailbone. Over the years, we've tried a lot of cushions and they've all failed us. This cushion is thick and substantial. He's wide enough to avoid putting pressure on the sciatic nerves. Rings or those light-weight cushions are far inferior.
*UPDATE* I can honestly say that I adore this seat cushion, and it gets better with each use. I no longer have to get up and hobble away with my hips and tailbone in pain; now, when I get up, I can walk away pain-free. I've already told my family and friends about it. br>It's a little difficult at first, but as I use it more, it gets easier. It is, without a doubt, a step forward.
From all the cushions I tried, the AceRate seat cushion is the best.
My sciatica has significantly improved as a result of this cushion, which was the only thing I changed in my life. I work at a computer all day, so I'm sitting most of the time. I don't feel as though I'm sitting on air - It's a little uncomfortable if I sit for too long, but - This cushion is responsible for my sciatica no longer bothering me as much. Now that I've had it for a few weeks (and have used it every day), I can say that when I stand up, it doesn't fill back up completely - As a result of my weight, it's a little more compressed. I'm glad I purchased it, and when it wears out, I'll purchase another - It was well worth it to get rid of my sciatica. I'm a 250-pound woman. Even if you weigh less (or much less), I'd get this cushion - it might help others who are looking for support. It's a thick piece of paper - excellent assistance.
The thickness, as well as the size, are exceptional. When the weather is cold, it becomes hard, but it softens up after a few minutes of sitting on it. I also appreciate the carry handle, which makes transporting it easier. This has saved my life as a school bus driver! With my back problems, herniated discs, sciatic nerve, and arthritis in my lower back and hip due to hours of sitting on the bus driving!.
For someone who is heavier, this is ideal. It maintains its form! If you have arm rests on your chair, check the height of your desk and chair. That had never occurred to me.
