It's never been weighed, but it feels like a pound and a half. br>It's still incredibly light and comfy. It also makes it easier for me to get in and out of the seat.
The seat does not appear to be waterproof. A neoprene/spandex-like material is used to cover it. Your kayak's seat type is unknown to me. Yes, if the bench is made of flat plastic. If there are any curves in the seat. I wouldn't buy it for that kayak if that were the case. I hope this information is useful.
I am unable to respond to your specific question, but I can offer some suggestions based on your needs. The g seat is a small, firm seat. Padding for stadium/bleacher seating and an insulation layer for folding chairs have proven to be the most successful applications. It is easy to store and carry due to its small size. Allowing the gel to freeze is not a good idea. It creates uncomfortable pressure spots under the legs when used on top of another padded seat. Best wishes to you.
I'm not sure what the maximum weight limit for Gseat Lite is, but it's been used by a 140-pound person in my family.

After several hip surgeries, my partner uses this to relieve pain. It helps him get out of too soft sofas and chairs, provides a little cushion for too hard chairs, and is wonderfully light to carry on trips and use on airplane seats (along with a bag of ice under his hip on planes). The only issue is that when you stand up, it's easy to forget! We've lost a few this way, so we now tie a long thin cord to the handle and wrap it around the seat when it's not in use. One of those hinged key rings is at the other end of the spectrum. He tucks the keyring into his pocket as soon as he sits down in a chair. If he forgets and walks away when he gets up, the seat cushion will be left behind! Fido was the name we came up with.
My annual mileage is around 64,000 miles. I had severe back problems about 12 years ago, which put my career on hold. I was afraid I'd need back surgery. Cortizone treatment has begun. I began looking for answers to what was causing my back problems during physical therapy, and my physical therapist told me it was due to the amount of driving I do. I began looking for something that could assist me. For my car, I was looking at some nice ergonomic seats. I tried every pad and back support I could get my hands on. Hundreds of dollars were spent! I've been using this product since I first discovered it. To put it another way, it is effective. I've given a few to friends, and out of the dozens who have tried it, only one has said it didn't work for them. Take a chance and try it out. It's a little unsettling at first, but it's definitely effective for me. Best wishes to you. I was on the verge of losing my job due to back pain.
This is my third purchase of a gel seat (I've tried a few different brands). This folding seat pad is the smallest and easiest to transport, as well as being slightly lighter than my previous folding seat pad - This is useful if you'll be carrying it around while traveling. On airplane seats (as well as buses, the ground, and other areas), I find them to be a huge help (almost essential). For me, there is one inherent problem (not with this product specifically, but with ALL products in general). the proclivity for leaving it on the seat (hence the third product). I thought I'd figured it out by attaching it to my person or backpack/purse with a 'leash' (of any kind, including a shoelace). I was on a long bus ride and forgot to do this, so some nice British tourists in Vietnam received a complimentary seat pad: They contacted me via Facebook in the hopes that I would return to Hanoi.
My car is great, but the seats aren't the most comfortable on the planet. I had to add a lumbar support cushion, and I was looking for something to make long trips a little more comfortable. This is a fantastic car cushion. It's the perfect size to fit into the bolsters of my Civic's seats, and it doesn't add too much to my riding height, so I didn't have to adjust my seat. Since purchasing this cushion, I've gone on a few multi-hour road trips, and I don't think I'd go on another one without it. If you can forget about it, you'll be able to improve the quality of your comfort. It's a positive development.
For work, I purchased this. I'm a traveling support administrator who doesn't have an office, so I end up sitting in a variety of chairs wherever I go. On my back, it's a living hell. This pad is extremely light and compact, fitting easily into my backpack. It has helped to relieve the pain in my back caused by long periods of sitting in any type of chair.
Over the years, we've tried a variety of different pads and pillows with varying results. We've got an 8-hour flight coming up, so we figured we'd try this instead of his wheelchair pillow. He's been putting it through its paces at his desk, on the couch, and in the car. and he likes it a lot. He claims it is comfortable and evenly distributes his weight. I notice that when he sits on it, his posture improves. It's a HUGE SUCCESSFUL SUCCESS! After the trip, I'll reevaluate it and report back to you. Thank you for creating a product that is well-made and engineered.
I was apprehensive about flying from LAX to South Africa because I usually experience excruciating lower back pain for days after flying from LAX to NYC. I didn't have high expectations for this product, but I decided to give it a shot in order to avoid being in pain for days after arriving in South Africa. When I arrived in Johannesburg, I couldn't believe it when I discovered I didn't have a single ache in my back the next day. Flying back from South Africa yielded similar positive results. Also, because there were several extremely long days, I used the seat on the tour bus, which worked perfectly. Make sure to put the smooth side down and have the pad slope downward from the back of the seat to the front edge of the seat when installing this pad in the seat.
This smaller version of its bigger brother is an excellent travel companion for those whose bottoms are compromised by spinal problems, tired hips, and so on, and they're especially nice on commercial planes, where the owners have either not upgraded or refurbished their seat cusions since about 1935, or have removed whatever cushioning there is to allow the seats to be crushed into ever-smaller spaces. confined areas It's a little cramped for everyone. Unless you have a narrow bottom, you won't like it in church pews, the theater, or a restaurant with hard seats, but even if you do, you'll love it.
