The pants I wear are size 16 on me, I'm 5'2" tall. The XL shorts were precisely the right size for me. In my opinion, if you are taller than 5'2", you should choose the regular length as they are short (and are They would also be a great pant for hiking or gardening, as they are sturdy but easy to move in. I have big thighs and legs, and these scrubs are the best fitting I have worn in a long time. This was my first time trying these and I'm happy I did.
My height (5' 6 1/2") has left me with a little vertical challenge, so I purchased these scrub pants in a petite size. There were other brands that had just the right length for small scrubs. The only problem was that they were too short for me, even according to my own standards. As soon as I got home from work, I decided to order the regular length. They fit quite This product fits well and is well made, so I will rate it as a 5 star product. Since I've been wearing them for a few months, they are still holding up well. As much as I have worn cotton/polyester blends for years, this fabric doesn't seem to wear out like it does.
Due to the high demand for this item, all uniform shops had run out of stock, so Amazon stepped in to provide the item. The replacement items are those that were used in a hospital to keep patients and staff both comfortable and clean for almost two years, but now there are holes in the crotch from constant walking and friction, as well as the repeated washing required. I have the same brand and color scrub tops that have lasted much longer, so I just need to wash the pants enough so that the colors will fade to match my 2 yr old scrub tops. I love the belt loops, zipper, and multiple pockets, and I feel like it will fit a short male. My scrubs stay up better with these than the ones I own with drawstrings only.
It will fit a 29" or perhaps 29 1/2" inseam perfectly in the "short" or "petite". My opinion of the book was that it was a little short. It was a pain to have the regular pants hemmed for me since I'm about a 30 1/2. I can't imagine wearing anything else. Although I can imagine wearing anything else, the material is amazing. I love the way it wears like iron, doesn't shrink, and feels like a dream the moment I wear it. (I'm 5'11" and 215 lbs by the way. It's stretching the definition of petite to refer to me as such. This looks a lot like the cartoon of the hippopotamus in a ballerina totoo).
All he has to do is love them. They still need to be hemmed a tiny bit, but it won't require any major alterations.
