A playground has an outdoor utility sink where I set up my trap. It takes me about six months to empty, rinse, and reuse the bottle of sand every six months. I am in Florida, which is only a few feet above sea level, which saves my mostly vertical drain from freezing. mop sink so that I can clean the indoor mop sink because that has a lot of sand from the playground as well. You wouldn't believe how much easier it is to dump the bottle than to snake out an underground sewer pipe! Since I installed this device 2 years ago, I have not done any backups. Purchasing it is worth the price.
It is unlikely, but I would suggest you speak to someone who can tell you more about this. It sinks if you mix clay with grease, and floats if you mix grease with clay. Clay is very well captured by this material.
Exactly how much clay you wash down the drain depends entirely on how much clay you actually wash In order to keep that to a minimum, I would do my best to avoid it. While there are other types of traps available, they are less convenient to clean and are meant for greater volumes.
Depending on the size and shape of my Gleco on the utility sink and my kitchen sink garbage disposal, it could be possible. Plaster is a heavy object that Kleco Traps are designed to capture. The reason why this should be done is not obvious to me. In my case, it won't work well since I use the garbage disposal to dispose of these kind of things.

Two things are wrong with the kit 1) the preinstalled O ring wasn't properly seated when the bottle was screwed on, and it is deformed and damaged. It was fortunate they supplied a replacement, but now I do not have any 1) the 64 oz bottle can get so heavy that the threaded nut/washer, which holds the attachment from hanging on the pipe from the drain, can no longer I just keep slipping off, which causes a cascade of water on In order to remove the weight from the nut, I pushed an empty pill bottle under the contraption. Furthermore, I have placed a pan under everything in case it leaks, which it does seem to be prone to doing. This is not a pretty sight, but it's If I were to do this again, I might get the kit with the smaller bottle. In addition, I would like to mention a minor point A small utility sink (18 inches wide) is under this. The big red lever needed to be moved under the sink so that it does not stick out from under the side, where it could be bumped all the time, resulting in It might be a good idea to shorten this lever a little. Despite its modest price and an impressively well-thought-out design, the materials appear to be of reasonable quality. According to what everyone else has experienced, I am using it in a pottery studio, so I anticipate it will work well for catching clay bits, however, it is still too early to tell.
The work I do is The clay and glaze are held in place well by this. Two plaster traps are stacked on top of each other. is the first one, and the second one still picks up a bit of clay after that.
A simple process for setting up We use this to keep our ejector pump from clogging up in our basement pottery studio (a great idea, but a little pricey).
My home studio is where I work on pottery. In addition to mixing plaster, he sets tile, builds houses, and so on. I must say, when he did the first empty, he said it was one of the best investments I have ever made for my pottery studio. The last thing he said about anything I bought was that! Sink traps made from this material are easy to dispose of and do not smell as bad as homemade ones.
I bought the Gleco trap to use on my clay sink as my first trap. The replacement bottle of 64 oz looks good, but one of the bottles was damaged when it arrived. If it leaks, I hope it will be fine. In the box, items were loosely packed. I have no idea whether the bottle was damaged during shipping or if it was damaged from the start. It did not appear that the box had been damaged in any way.
The seal did leak a bit at first, despite the tightening and installation of the O-ring The lid of the jar has a ring. It was acceptable to let a little bit of water drip down the drain to clear it. Due to the position of the drain and the height of our kitchen counter, it would not fit under our kitchen sink. The clearance was adequate in my basement, so I had to install it there. As advertised, it appears to work perfectly.
