Here is a dentist. This is my favorite tool for describing treatment needs and findings quickly and easily. In my opinion, it's a good representation, though it isn't super anatomically correct, but it works fine to convey the message. These were ordered two times, and both the removable crown, onlay, and/or FDP were faulty. I just threw away the onlay due to it being too damaged, but the crown still fits, I just have to be careful. It looks like some kind of clear wax or glue is used to attach the removable pieces. If the restoration is not sticky, it is easy to fall off and become loose. While they may be difficult to remove, they are easy to remove if they are not sticky. The plastic FGM on #8 broke off more than a month ago. The "nerves" caries, clear model for endings, etc. are all wonderful. Only a few teeth do not have contacts through which you can floss. The only items that can be removed are 20 and 21.
It was purchased for my niece, who loves to go to the dentist, who is 4 years old. It is possible to pull (and replace) its teeth. downside is that the teeth are quite fragile I accidentally knocked the mouth shut and chipped a tooth playing with it before giving it as a gift. This happened within the first hour of receiving the product, so that is why one star was taken off. On top of that, the little "caps" that connect the hinges to the main parts of the jaws had to be glued on as they seemed to loosen and fall off with use. Our two dogs have chipped so many teeth since then, with hours of play, that the poor thing looks like the dentist needs to be called in. Superglue is what I use when I have the chance to rejoin the pieces. Despite the fact that it might be considered a bit pricey for a kid's toy, we have easily been able to get our money's worth, so I would recommend it.
Keep an eye out for any small pieces that will get lost. While the initial model works well, with time, the parts become very loose so that they don't stay on the model and can easily fall off.
I just got mine yesterday, and I was delighted to discover it will help patients visualize the treatment procedures in a way that helps them understand what the dentist is verbally expressing.
A good product to buy, and then a second one after that since I lost pieces when I dropped one. Don't drop it though, I was able to recover them.
With the removable pieces, it makes it much easier to explain patients their treatment how and why her model works. She always enjoys explaining things to her patients and has an illustration book, but when I gave her this model she loved it and it helped her explain things to patients much better.
This is a very disappointing experience. The dentist had broken a tooth when I arrived. Plastic that connected the upper and lower jaws started to fall apart within a couple of weeks. Sadly, I didn't think the product would be a useful learning tool for my patients, and my expectations were not met.
The entire item was smashed, and the hinge was even Nothing was damaged on the box and in the packaging. The goods were manufactured in a defective manner.
