The components are "forced" to fit together. There aren't any threads, and there isn't any crimping. In the "ferrule," the mirror either falls out or rotates around. I believe in the adage "you get what you pay for," but this is a completely useless piece of metal. A waste of money.
The product has clearly been used. reassembled with staples When I opened the package, I discovered that the actual mirror was just as filthy as the rest of the product.
The mirror does fog up at first, as other reviewers have mentioned, but this is due to the temperature difference between the air and the inside of your mouth. It'll be fine in a minute or two.
One staple holds the packaging in place between the plastic and the cardboard backing. Although the mirror is a little too large, it will suffice. But it was FLITTY when it arrived. The packaging was covered in dirt and dust specks! The packaging was deteriorating, and it appeared to be made of wet wrinkled cardboard and overheated plastic. Before using this item, I'll need to sterilize it in alcohol. Washing with soap is also a good idea. It's just that I don't have confidence in it.
I like the product, but I think the mirror could be a little bigger. There isn't much, only a smidgeon.
I had my wisdom teeth removed, and I'm using this to look at the back of my mouth, where the teeth used to be. It performs admirably in that capacity. I wish I had bought a kit that included all of the other dentist tools, because I could have used the hook thing to clean behind my ears as well.
This mirror is only used to examine my teeth. My bathroom, on the other hand, is extremely dark, making it difficult to see anything. I need to move into a better location with a decent bathroom, but things keep popping up, and I'm not sure if I'll ever get ahead.
It was exactly what I needed and expected. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to daily use, but it made it through my vanity clutter!.
