Yes, it has a moisture barrier, and as a nurse, I believe that without it, you are not protected. My agency recommends using paper towels to put our purses and nursing bags on, but I prefer to buy these because I can use them for multiple purposes. They also last a long time.

I like how liquid doesn't pass through the other side; it's very effective. When I give her saline and heparin, I have to first push up the bubbles, which usually ends up on the carpet or something. This is no longer the case.
They are of excellent quality and arrived promptly. The price on Amazon was significantly lower than that of our usual supplier.
