Questions & Answers

When it is mounted on a 16hp engine, will it get too hot?

My model is driven by a 15hp Briggs & Stratten with nitrous, and it works perfectly with no problems.

Would this be right for a 10 hp Tecumseh?

The only way it could be yes is if it had a 1 inch crank

Motors too big for this! The 212cc motors are the only ones suitable
3/5

Putting this on a 13hp 420cc predator motor did the trick. The first time I tried, it wouldn't engage at all unless I pushed it and got a running start, even then it would only barely grab. The clutch did eventually engage okay after maybe 15 minutes of running, but it was still not performing anywhere close to what one should expect of a clutch. My car needed a torque converter, therefore I purchased one. Small motors with power under 8 hp and displacement under 300 cc are recommended for this.

The clutch will weld itself without any help from the fat guys
5/5

I burned it up after my fat friend took a whiff of it. If your goal is to make a speed kart, keep the weight of the kart under 250 pounds when using this clutch. For reference, I adapted it to fit Working perfectly until 320 lbs tried to go uphill from a stop, and then it fused to itself.

My disappointment is immense! I was not happy with the product
3/5

My 8 hp kart would not move the first time I tried it. The clutch simply spun and did not engage as it should have. The cigarette has probably been smoked. Buying is not a good idea. The best advice I can give you is to spend the money and get a real I give it minus 5 stars due to the fact that it does not deserve the one star I had to give.

This is not a very durable material
3/5

In the next few weeks, I plan on ordering a third one. I had an HD one that wouldn't engage, so I tried these on my son's homemade go cart and they worked great for a few days, but then they seized We took both apart to find that the bearings are going bad.

You should oil your hands before you start
5/5

Shipped dry, they are ready to use. In order to fit completely onto the crank, the built-in keyway needs to be ground down 1/4" on the "almost no keyway" side.

It is not a 1 inch There is no such thing as a 1" bore
3/5

Instead, there is a I still keep it for projects involving small engines.
