I'd already converted the X and Y axes to rails (of a different brand), which required thorough cleaning and re-installation. Before using, it was lightly oiled. That was to be expected given the lower cost of the rails available on Amazon. br>br>However, I am pleased to report that not only were all four rails well-packed in their own boxes, but they also moved smoothly and freely. Given my previous experiences with other brand rails, I'm very impressed with these. There's no need for me to clean and re-arrange anything. they're oiled - Right out of the box, they're ready to use! I'm going to order more of these for a different printer I own.
It's fantastic, and it runs like a dream. I removed the factory grease and replaced it with WD40 Teflon dry lube, which makes it even easier to slide. This is a rail I strongly suggest.
I recall having to search Ebay for months in order to find a linear rail like this. It's fantastic that these mass-produced products are now available. They're made in such a way that they're readily available in a variety of sizes and styles, and at prices that are less expensive than surplus. They aren't as good as THK or even HiWin, but they are adequate for everyday use. These will be used to create a custom 3D printer. We are living in a wonderful era!.
Other rails in my collection are significantly heavier than this one. This one, on the other hand, feels good. It still uses an H block, moves very smoothly, and appears to be well made. I'll be looking for more rails from this company.
It arrived in a padded box that was well-protected. It was perfectly straight, and there were no flaws to be found. The bearings were in perfect working order. I'm really looking forward to building my first CNC machine.
br>The rails have a very smooth finish and are stamped. Unlike the invertech rails I purchased, which were rough and bumpy, these rails are smooth and comfortable. If you want a high-quality rail at a reasonable price, this is the rail to get.
I bought it to make a 3D printer because it was the cheapest I could find on a tight budget. br>The guides came in excellent packaging, and the precision is something I appreciate. br>I haven't finished putting the printer together yet, but I've enjoyed the tests I've done so far.
