The parts for these parts don't have drawings, so you need to purchase them, reverse-engineer them, then install them That's what I did I worked as an engineer.
I think the 8 mm is just fine. The screw and shaft are both 8 mm in diameter.

are smooth, and the stepper motor drives the screw fine, and the screw has four threads so it drives pretty fast. I am using a NEMA 17 stepper motor to drive it, and at 200 steps per revolution, it moves the table 1/25' per revolution. Adding cross members so all the pieces can be fixed together would be the best thing for this kit. Also, it would be helpful to have another eight M4 x0s. The screw has seven threads.
While the set screws for pillow blocks bearings are tightened sufficiently, the shaft does not fit tightly enough over them due to rubbing on the seal. Linear bearings are atrocious, as is the unit's design.
