Having used ball screws for four times, I know what they are. In contrast to some of the other ones I've seen, this one actually had the ball screw nut on tightly unlike some of the others I've seen that lock up or lose the ball bearings quickly. Unlike the other, this one came with a nut that easily moved, with no indication of backlash and no wiggle and all the bearings stayed put. Due to it being 60" long, there is clearly some flex in the ball screw. It looks like it should work for the x axis of iteration 8 of the poorly engineered CNC machine. It includes a 6 mm stepper motor. An adapter for nema23 that is 25mm in diameter. There is going to be a need for another coupler if you have a nema23 with the larger 10mm shaft. It would be wise to get a second one regardless since the one that comes with it is at the lower end and will likely snap under heavy use.
I have them installed sufficiently to manually operate them - they appear to be of decent quality for the price. No fuss was made in installing the bearings. Nuts and screws run smoothly, and the wobble of the screw is low enough to be quite acceptable (not perfect, but not horrendous). The seller was responsive to requests for information, and they arrived much later than promised when ordered. I would have put a five star rating on them but they arrived much later than promised.
Using it to move items from the end of the winch I beam to the bed of my truck. I purchased the worm drive gear assembly because I needed to move large items. The worm gear has been modified so that two sprocket gears and a chain can be attached to the end so that I can pull heavy objects closer to the I like the way it works. For safely suspending the piece being lifted before it is run through the worm gear, a safety chain is required. A capacity of one ton can be picked up, the chain attached, and the bed cranked. The operation was smooth. Thank you Amazon. I love it.
Everything went according to plan. It is of the highest quality stainless steel and its anti backlash nut is designed to cope with medium-duty operations. In order to fit into my C- shaped case, it needed to be modified I knew I was buying a beam before I made my purchase.
Designed to be smooth and tight with all needed parts included. It will take time to determine how tough it will be, but I am impressed with its overall design.
It was smooth, the equipment was nice, and the price was good.
The machine I used this for was a small CNC.
