Be informed before you make a purchase. There's no need to spend $1000+ on this It is not possible to drill holes in the back of the bearings exactly where they should be. In other places, this has also been mentioned. As long as you don't mind a few little issues like this, this is a very good value for the price. Everything works well and I am very happy with all the features. Smooth and quiet are the words that describe everything.
The proper place was assigned to everything. It fits and slides smoothly, and the bearings do not have any problems. It is a very large kit, so you can use it for a lot of tasks. A great feature of the ball screws is that they come with grease fittings. Kit contains all the parts that are needed to make a 3 axis machine's moving mechanism.
To begin with, I thought I would do a sliding table with a single Y-axis It would be fine if I had a ball screw on that axis but as part of a moving gantry I needed two so I ordered one elsewhere. Note that the bearings in those sliders seem to be in poor condition. The gantry is moving when I push against it. It would have been nice to have gone with flat bars and cars instead of round ones. There is a problem with the short 300mm, however, as it is a bit long for z-hinge This applies to the axis as well. This was my first attempt at building a DIY machine, so it was a good learning experience.
This is a good starting pack for building your own CNC machine.
