This is useless! Buying is not a good idea! This is the only one I have used so far because I only needed 1/2". It was holding together all right once I used the half-inch air powered impact on it. Soon after the first use, the pins started coming out. This causes the swivel to be useless because they vibrate out. To buy the Kobalt brand 1/2" swivel, I stopped what I was doing and went to Lowe's. It has been used about a dozen times since, and the pins did not fall The item was bought on October 17th, 2015 and, unfortunately, I do not have the option to return it to Amazon. The return policy at Lowe's is much better than that at Home Depot, which I will purchase my tools from now on.
The clutches for my 1991 Miata were purchased to replace the old one. It was used on a 1/2" impact and the largest socket had a 19 mm end on approximately 20 inches of extension. When the pins were used for five minutes, one steel (shiny silver) pin flew out and shot metal into the air. I had the same problem with the 3/8" U-tube My 3/8" impact was having some trouble moving when I used it. After contacting Amazon regarding a return, I had to wrap electrical tape around the pins to hold the connector in place. These are not products that I would recommend or buy again.
The Tekton sound is good to me. I have had an issue with this particular tool the only time I've used it, so I'm debating whether or not to send it in for warranty service. A U joint design such as this is not suitable for impact use. Tools made for impacting objects are made of softer materials and in general have more mass to compensate for strength and add some force. These U joints would be suitable only for very, very slight angles and would not be able to withstand vibrations that occur during impact. I had to take the 1/2 and 3/8 apart after using them a few times. While I had a steep angle when I broke the 1/2", it never got to the point of being problematic. As a result of the impacting and vibrations, the pin holes became larger and the pins became shook out This is permanent. Buy a set that has a ball joint or keeps the pins in place if you want to save money.
I was working on my car today and the 1/4" swivel came in handy. The exterior appears tough, but the interior is as soft as a cloud. There are so many loose silver pins that they fell out and bent the metal joining the pieces of artwork. Using impact tools with them is not possible. Tekton is doing a majority buy on the 1/2 inch if it breaks like the 1/4".

2/20/2018 Update got a whole new set today, if the impact swivels are as good as the customer service, then these.
My first attempt involved using straight extensions to remove and replace my spark plugs. Although I was able to repair the spark plug that faced the firewall, it took me over an hour, included a lot of yelling, and I wasn't sure I was able to tighten it strongly enough. I ordered my groceries inside after I had finished that difficult task. They fit great on all my sockets and drivers. I had no issues at all with them. The extending wobble bar is an incredible tool that makes tightening and removing those nuts and bolts under the hood SO much simpler. I've used them several times already and sometimes with wobble bar extensions. Every home shop should have this item.
The very first time I used an item described as impact rate, it broke. Joints that held the things together fell apart as a result of a lost pin. Despite my best efforts, I am not in a position to print a return label for this item since I don't have a printer readily accessible. I will take it since it is only $10. I think these joint sockets are pretty good and look as if they will last for quite a while. The ratchets I usually use have a 3/8" or 1/4" drive. On a 3/8" ratchet, I have found that the wrench performs well even at higher torque levels. Having never used a 1/2" drive joint socket, I'm not sure it will hold up to higher torques, but it is shorter than a 3/8" socket, and I would think the joint sockets range in length from about 12 inch to 1 inch.
