Vibration isolation on one axis of a 3D printer was the purpose of these. It turned out that the 8mm end of the motor was not coaxial with the 5mm motor end, an insane amount of wobbling was evident. It was time to go back to solid couplers. The signs of a defect are not just limited to this make they have been found in three different makes so far. In my opinion, the reason behind this is because the urethane molding wasn't applied For what I was hoping to accomplish, this was not the right choice.
The item was easy to install and You are not given any instructions. To maintain separation between the axis rod and the stepper motor shaft, a small ball bearing or some kind of spacer would have been nice. Hex head screws provided with the stepper motor also have a soft head and easily strip after the required torque is applied in order to prevent slipping.
