On a Briggs Stratton V-Twin engine with 724cc OEM fit This tractor has a 724cc Briggs Stratton V-Twin engine
5/5

It is a Craftsman YT4000 model. This is a Twin Platinum Engine. I started hearing a clicking noise intermittently and looked into it further and found Due to the difficulties I had in finding the OEM Ignition Coil, I decided to try the Stens replacement. I did not have to trim or cut anything on the coil or engine fins. Stans coil is slightly larger than the one it replaced, but it fit perfectly. There was no difference in fit between OEM and aftermarket. As this part does not come with a boot, you will need to remove the boot from the old coil and replace it with the new coil. Using it for two hours today was great. It took only five hours for everything to be working again. I am very happy with the coil replacement. I may need to order another one just in case the other fails, but so far everything is working fine. Upon a failure of one of the OEM coils after 6 months, it was replaced. I have been in the field for five years. Use (about 245 hours. This is how it looked on a.

I am having an issue with my Craftsman mower eating the coils
5/5

Having a 20 year old Craftsman mower and an 18 horsepower engine is the best thing I can do. This engine is known for eating coils. It delivers 5 HP. In my experience, when the engine is shut down, there is a transient voltage spike. All of the fixes for my engine are installed, but the coils continue to be damaged. Originally, these coils made a generous spark to run my mower. With time, however, they weakened to the point that they would no longer make enough spark. The coils were about 25% of the local price. They work well, and my mower is still operating.

Nevertheless, it does work, with a few modifications
4/5

This engine works on a Briggs and Stratton 20 hp model 406777, but the engine cover must be trimmed to fit. Also, it is a bit more difficult to gap this unit than the stock unit. Nevertheless, it does work and is much cheaper than most other The unit has run for about 4 hours without issue but I'm not sure how long it will last. Once again, it was nice to have the mower running on both cylinders all the time.

This is what my B&S 18 looks like with new modules
3/5

The fifth point is. Modules on my B&W are in need of replacement The 18th line of the Constitution. V-type engine with 5 horsepower It has twin Intek engines. My engine could not be turned off via the ignition switch, as did a previous reviewer. To cut the fuel costs I used the following method Initially, it worked when I turned off the valve, then I replaced the original modules one at a time, and the engine could only be stopped Using this new module, I was unable to stop the engine even if the ignition switch was used. I even swapped placement and tried it a couple of times.

My Briggs and Stratton engine would not accept the module
3/5

It is hard to owe a review on this product since I was not able to install it because the holes did not align with the engine, so I cannot tell how it would have worked. There is a Briggs & Stratton in my house There is no spark from the ignition coil on the Troy Bilt 675 power washer with a Stratton engine. Although I was unable to locate the model number on the engine, it appeared that this module was compatible but it was.

That's a perfect fit for you! This part worked brilliantly after I got the wrong part from a local dealer
5/5

This is the second set I have on my 20HP V-Twin Briggs and Stratton engines (model 407777-L The28th of January fit and performed I had to modify the cooling fins on my engine to make the part work, despite the fact that my local dealer said it was the right part. I think so. I don't agree! Two coils were located, and they fit right in place without any As well! There was some mention in the literature about these coils not cutting the engine off electrically. I was able to use mine with no problems. It should shut off the spark when the key is turned off. This is a 100% satisfied client.

The Briggs twin can be directly replaced with this unit
5/5

The gearbox on my craftsman tractor was a direct replacement for the Briggs twin. As a result, I no longer have power issues or backfire problems.
