It's possible that 6 is a tad low. My grade is a three. It had to run nearly every time I cut a board with it at 8 psi and 90 psi. However, it's an excellent tool. It's ability to sheer tough board has me very impressed.
No, it's made to cut Fiber Cement Siding 5/16" (8mm).
My large Dewalt compressor provides excellent cutting speed. With the help of a pancake compressor, it slows down slightly. On hardie board and siding, it performs admirably.

My siding job was made a lot easier with this tool. Even for a novice like myself who is doing a re-do, it is well worth the money. On their own house, they did a siding job. Because of the reviews I read, I decided to go with the pneumatic tool instead of the electric tool, and I'm glad I did. It uses a lot of air, but with the right compressor, it's a fantastic tool. The small frame made a significant difference when compared to the electric tool.
Exceptionally good.
It is extremely simple to operate. If you don't have a big air compressor, you'll have to wait for the air pressure to build up on long cuts.
As if it were butter, it slices through cement siding. It does, however, consume a lot of air, so if you're going to be cutting sheet siding, you'll need at least a 4cfm air compressor. For cutting 8" boards, my 2cfm compressor is sufficient. br>br>At the end of the cut, I'm still having trouble tearing the corners. It doesn't happen all the time, so I'm confident it's a flaw in my technique. I'll figure it out in the end. Great tool! br>br> Cutting with a power saw produces dust, so this method is quick and accurate.
This was purchased to cut Hardie Board 8 and it worked perfectly. Siding with a 25" lap. It was simple to use and sliced through the board like a hot knife through butter. It's neat and tidy. Every cut was straight and smooth thanks to the use of a triangle square on the board as a guide. It requires a lot of air to run, but a Ridgid pancake compressor of 6 gallons sufficed. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
With NO DUST, it works flawlessly and saves time.
NO DUST. Anyone contemplating Hardie Plank installation would be foolish to do so without this tool. It appeals to me. NO DUST!.
It works great, but you must have a large enough air compressor.
